Princess - I agree that he won't play anywhere until 2007 (not even Parra) - and I wonder if he will have slipped off the radar by then? How keen will teams be to sign up a pig-hunting former superstar who doesn't like Sydney?

Maybe he'll turn out for the Gold Coast expansion club - it's closer to home for him!

he went home to be with mates......

playing for peanuts in a Group league with your childhood mates means you know nothing about mates and teammates does it????

True Eel - Do you seriously believe that was the only reason he turned his back on Parra??

or ditching his mates at parra, either way you look at it there is something really wrong in his head.

its not the only reason...............there are other more personal ones relating to Brian Smith, but going home to the bush did play a big part in his reasoning

and i just can't believe how fickle some people are about Jamie Lyon........him leaving is related to the underlying problems at the club, the same underlying problems that have me very nervous about 2005, because of the player talent we have outlaid a lot of money for......i would hate to see all that wasted on playing favourites, poor selections, wrong selections and playing games with people's careers......

like has gone on the last few seasons with Parra under the current regime???????????????????????????

I reckon he also got sick of not getting any ball in the backline the way he was accustomed to. Imagine being the best young centre in the game and spending two years (02, 03) with neither Dykes nor Wagon passing you the ball!! #-o

Is it any wonder he's playing 5-8 at Wee Waa just to get his hands on the pill?

Perhaps that relates to Jamie's alleged concerns with the coaching - the style of play that crept in (Smith endorsed?) at Parra post 2001 and JT.

Maybe I was a atd harsh.

But yes - to a degree.

His teammates and fans relied on him, and he elft us high and dry to go play PS 2 and hunt Pigs in the bush.

Clearly he has issues regarding responsibility?

No excuses.

He has a head.

He has a brain.

If he can sense that he's not 100% happy, why sign a long-term contract and then leave us scratching our heads trying to figure out why he left?

IF he had ANY moral sentiments, he'd get out of his shell and make an official statement as to why he left and whether (for sure or not) he'll be back.

It's not fair on the Parramatta team, the club and his naive fans who think he'll return.
