Okay, I'm a single man again which means I now have a leave pass to go out again whenever I want.

I propose all of us Sydney metalheads get together soon for a piss-up.

The only criteria is that you MUST get very, very drunk.

Was just thinking though - where would we meet and how would we know who the f**k we were?

I'd hate to walk up to some bloke and say "Are you Ron Jeremy" and be wrong!

Then again, I've been told you look like Thorpey right? haha

Anyway, any takers?

Guys, i look like Ian Thoprpe but better looking ( ask Alba) I'm about 6'1 have a very new age half moehawk do and dress nothing like a metal head, actually if you saw me you'd think io was a backstreet boy fan, and i also work out, easy to spot.

Im all for meeting up.

Now to this thread? what do i like? this is a very hard question to answer, and many people cannot understand why i like the bands i do, well it gets worse with what i'm about to post!.

What do i look for in music? easy! a good beat, something that sounds good!! and and talent that any normal person couldn't do unless they had years of experience.

My music collection is so broad i dont know where to start?

I love 80's rock bands such as VH, Dokken, WASP, CRUE, Gunners, Ratt ( love Ratt), Def Lep, Whitesnake, Bon Jovi, Queensryche, Leatherwolf, Alice Cooper, Malmstein, Vai, Satriani etc.

However i love some 80's pop as well such as Duran Duran, Prince, Flock of Seagulls, IceHouse, The Church, Dragon, Midnight Oil, Forienger, Billy Idol, The Police etc

I love 70's Sabbath, DIO, Led Zep, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Blondie, KISS etc

I love 90's rock, STP, Sound Garden, early offspring, Faith no More, Smashing Pumpkins, DEF FX, some Nirvana,

I even love some dance music including dance remixes, Nellie Furtado, The Real Mc Coy

I love classic pop such as John Lennon, The Beach Boys

I have a little variety to my music, but imo the key to good music is if something sounds good it is! this includes beats, guitar solo's, bass lines or singers holding notes, for an example Linkin Park? people might not undertstand what i like about them? but what made me like them was the singers ability to hold notes, love this skill and so under used these days, now i like them, and anysong where he holds a high note for a few seconds i fall in love with it. Another example is Nellie Furtado? apart from her great voice i love the keyboard to Maneater & promiscuis girl, sounds unreal and so i brought her album.

I love talented musicians, i love seeing talent on display, i hate medicore musicians who make it when people who aren't talented make it eg The Ramones, this is the reason why i love 80's rock! the voices, personalities, guitar, drums everything about it is what Rock n' Roll should be, and i'll never stop liking it.
