Plus peach played in the backs so he wasn't required.

Just on that, isn't the quality of football we are playing so much better now.
People like Husky65 must be hating it.

I am sure when Peachey last re-signed with us it was for 330k a year for 3 years. The tigers were after him big time then and he had just assumed the captaincy.

Well I'll be buggered. Why is that number in my head? I was sure of it. How do we find out for sure?

It IS his qaudracep, I was saying how tough he is, he played with bad hammyies and strained hammies for a number of games and usually plays on with injury, the fact that his injury on the weekend forced him from the field indicates it's seriousness in my opinion, or perhaps it was just extra painful.

That said we were leading by 14 with ten to go when he came off. Reasonably secure victory there. Why not let him come off?

It seems to be a new injury. They hurt more than re-injuring something.

Maybe Peach knows how to run with a dodgy hamstring, but hasn't had a problem with his quads before. I dunno, just speculating...

PLus, maybe Peach still has those hamstring problems, and together with a quadriceps injury, he has bugger all power in those skinny little legs. Nothing in the front, and nothing in the back. That leaves bones to produce the force, and that just doesn't happen.

Hopefully I'm wrong.
I like being wrong sometimes.

Hmmm well POWER certainly wasn't something he lacked on the weekend, ask the broncos attackers who had two first half tries ripped from their grasp by a brick wall called DAVE !

Shades of Toovey getting launched into outerspace by the Peach at North Power stadium a few years back......

How funny was that!!

Has anyone still got the pic of Toovey lying there in a quivering wreck, with Peach standing over him?

I don;t mate but would love to see it, infact I think it must rate as one of the BEST HITS by a shark ever !

Would that be a similar hit to Crazy little thing called love by Beekershark, definetly a best ever hit by a sharkie supporter

Unfortunately, that was the Peachey of old. Today's Peachey is a lot more concerned about his own well being that he doesn't put his body on the line anymore. He's too worried about getting injured again, and it's plaging his game because of it! That, in essence is what is really wrong with Peachey!

Peach is still far and away the best option we have for fullback

While he doesnt score as many tries as he used to with his broken play running, he has increasingly created a number of tries for other players

His TEN try assists this season are behind only kimmorley (18 ), finch (16), orford (13) and head (12)

This is coming from a bloke who has scored 7 tries from 13 games this season

We've scored 54 tries and he's been directly involved in 17 - from fullback
That's very close to 1 in 3
Not bad for a bloke who is "struggling" and too worried about getting injured again!

I can't ever remember saying he was struggling I merely stated he had turned soft. I still love the guy, he was the reason I started supporting the Sharks when we moved over here. I simply believe his best days are behind him, nothing more nothing less...
