Whats your expectation for RFM?

Hi guys just wondering what your expectation is of RFM in 2016?

I think RFM is a very talented player and one whom I expect to see a big increase in his value by the end of 2016. He has a touch of Sonny Fai about him and I think he has a higher skill set than any other 2nd rower we have at the club (except perhaps a firing Lauitiiti). Im picking he could become a real gem of a player for us.

How do you think he will go in 2016?

Best case scenario he plays as well with us as he did with the Roosters. Worst case he becomes another of these top players that joins our club and just isn't able to fire, before leaving his contract after 2 years...

I have high hopes and expectations, mixed with the usual Warriors fan paranoia which has accumulated over many seasons of disappointment. Just seems too good to be true to have so many great players in the team, so kind of waiting for a serious injury or drop in form to hit. will be interesting to see how RTS goes with our team - will be much harder to get another A grade signing if he doesn't go well.

I'm really, really high on RFM. He certainly needs work, but is close to the most promising young edge forward in the NRL (another Kiwi, Joseph Tapine, is also right up there). I loved watching him in the 20s - a player who didn't rely solely on physical attributes but showed a really intelligent selection of lines to run, and seemed like a decent defender. He has shown much of that in his transition to first grade (I already rate him better than Henry), though he has plenty still to do if he's going to replace Hoffman/Bodene eventually.

If I'm being super critical the few tackles he did miss seemed like concentration lapses (lazy arm grabbing, not following the play etc) rather than being genuinely beaten, which is worrying, and he maybe made too many partial breaks without either getting through the line or setting it up for someone else (a few errors came from this). Speaking of errors, his error rate is a bit too high currently. And he could maybe go looking for a bit more work with the ball. All quite common in younger players, all very fixable - if his attitude is good and he works hard.

I'd like to see him push Thompson out of the starting lineup tbh

FYI when i first saw RFM play, i thought WTF? but then after a few games i realised that reaction was OTT and that he'll go AOK.

key for this year will be forming a good combination with RTS as normally he has a penchant to try DIY when on the field, but this won't work in ATE...

it's just a shame that these guys aren't playing with BBQ in the halves as he'd be feeding them good ball ADL, like we saw him to to RTS last year, along with JWH, SKD and SBW.

If he learns to catch and stops tackling like a shiela, he's got a chance. Otherwise he's the run of the mill flash in the pan.

Undoubtedly talented.

Some lapses noted by other posters, but the context is going from reserve grade, to first grade played at twice the speed and impact.
.
In other words, he needs experience before we willl know if he can be considered a prospect.

Our defensive backrow is perfect for showing him the ropes.

He needs defensive mentoring, the rest of his game can't be taught.

I hope he plays more NRL games than he misses, because I believe he's a massive asset if used and coached correctly.

However, with our back row, the fact Henry is a safer option for Cappy and the reduced interchange, I expect he won't. I just don't want to lose him elsewhere when Hoffman is about done and there could be a real future for him.

To Leave Auckland and become a beast for the Roosters :p

RFM will need to lift his 1st grade form up for me to take him seriously

I reckon Thompson and SJ strike an okay combination together so expectations are not too high for the young lad that is RFM

Hopefully he's using the preseason on learning to catch the ball and improving his tackling technique. As others have said has the raw materials just needs to put the work in.

You dont rate Thompson ? I thought his combo with SJ was coming along nicely.

Good defender, eighty minute forward, experienced ?
