I initially read this story on the official Panthers site, and the media manager, knowing that these forums exist, encouraged people to spread the story, to first of all raise awareness, and also, in the likelihood that any readers of this forum knew anything that could assist with the return, to contact the relevant authorities.

Fatz worked damn hard for that ring - it would be something that he would dearly cherish. He would like it back.

You've got no idea have you. I feel for you. It must be a sad life you live in not wishing to achieve a goal in your life and be given something that shows and honours that mark. Wow I actually feel something for a Rooster supporter!
people have far worse things stolen everyday
what makes whatuira deserve a thread noting his relatively small loss

If you can't tie a dollar amount to something the Roosters and their fans wouldn't care. If this happened to one of their players they'd give him $5 to make up for it, and he'd head off skipping to the local dairy   .

Fair dinkum - you lot get worse. Go to bed - it's past your bedtime.
go get drunk on metho then go back to your fibro shack

From a personal point of view - I think that comment is uncalled for even though I suggested your thinking was childish.

PAUL WHATUIRA'S PREMIERSHIP RING STOLEN

Sep 28 - A thief broke into Paul Whatuira's home at Kingswood on Saturday night and stole his 2003 Premiership ring while he was playing for Panthers in the Preliminary Final at Aussie Stadium.

"I got home early on Sunday morning and it had gone from my drawer," Paul said today. "They also took a DVD player but left my partner's jewellery and other valuables. So I guess they must have been after the ring."

Paul is understandably upset about his loss. "It has a very real value to me because it isn't something you can win easily. And it isn't something anyone could easily sell. Please return it."

Penrith police are looking into the robbery and have taken fingerprints from Paul's place

Kia Ora and thanks, _____. Good news is that the jeweler who makes them
will give him a replacement. Not quite the same but Paul was happy when
I broke the news to him today. Cheers, _____.

Kia Ora Mr _______,
As a footy fan id just like to say that i was sickend when i heard that
Paul Whatuira's Premiorship Ring had been stolen.
i think we all know how hard the players train to get one of those
rings, and only a select bunch of champions get a chance to wear one of
them.
i hope they catch the culprits that did this then use them as tackling
bags for Big Tony Puletua and Joe Gulevao.
Thanks for your time.
Yours Sincerely
__________.

Its good to hear hes got a replacement though its not the same.

Good news for Paul. But it's a shame it got stolen in the first place and I hope the bastards get caught.

I had a sneaking suspicion that they would make him another one. That's good stuff.

But he would dearly love to have the original back obviously.

Thats what I was thinking. The report I read said they only took his dvd player and the ring.

I'm sure the local detectives will bring the culprit to justice.
