your stripes should go all the way around. instead there's that horrible strip underneath the arms which prevent this from happening. If Easts can fix our jersey (making it the full V again) then so can souths. at the moment your jersey looks stupid. getting rid of the strips under the arms and it'll look traditional and good~ish again.

That's your opinion.

I happen to like it and I think you'll find most supporters do as well.

The jersey is fine as it is. It's still 90% traditional with a bit of modernity. The black trim looks good against the stripes.

the reason for the stripe is to differentiate between home & away jerseys.
souths have done the bare minimum requirements the league has asked for thus keeping the red & green stripes of traditional jerseys.
there is no need to alter jerseys i feel for home & away as there are plenty of different colour combinations out there

that jersey flushes tradition down the toilet. the strips are unneccessary, but glad to see that Rusty's brainwashing still works on you

Other than Easts and Dragons, we've changed our traditional jersey the least. And speaking of tradition, how about you tell your team to go by its proper name. If we've flushed tradition down the toilet then so has every other club. Go troll their forums.

Fair dinkum, how can eastern Suburbs criticise Souths about their jersey? Easts originally had red, white and blue stripes and were called the Tricolours. They got rid of that and adopted/copies/stole the french rugby league jersey, includign the fighting c**k motif.
Now they are seen in some abominationn of a jersey that doesn'r seem to represent anything. It's bnot the original jersey, it's not the French version, what is it?

While we are at it, what's with the black numbers on Souths jerseys? Not enough contrast.

Time to go back to the traditional jersey for mine. Use an alternative (Mintie, white or black strip, green with red V (1940s) or some other) for away games.

Lol.. What are you, like five?
Btw. 'Easts' don't exist. They realised they didn't have enough supporters under the name 'Eastern Suburbs' so tried to bring in a few more by chucking the very general 'Sydney' in front of 'Roosters'. How bout you fix your name like The Bulldogs did. Or you too worried you'll lose the 'Sydney' Swans division of supporters?
