Season 8 has a fair bit of quality as well, including my two favourite episodes - 'You Only Move Twice' and 'Brother From Another Series'

Conan O'Brien used to be a writer for the show around series 5-6 I think, which was probaby the best period overall

Conan was mainly involved during Season four. He wrote "Marge vs the monorail" which is one of my favourites.

Those two eps from season eight are great, no doubt. So is Homer vs the Eighteenth Amendment, but there's also a number of duds in that season.

And Skeletor, yeah I agree to an extent, the first season was a stinker, but season two has a few moments of greatness. But watching the earliest episodes I always wonder how I ever got to like the show in the first place.

3 to 8 was awesome, even 9, 10, 11 had their moments. Last few seasons have been horrible, but halloween ep usualy gets a laugh out of me

BTW< best halloween ep - that one with the toaster

Season 10 still has some great episodes - Bart The Mother, Lisa Gets An A (Pinchy the Lobster!), Mayored To The Mob, Homer To The Max (Max Powers...it's a name you want to touch...BUT YOU CAN NOT TOUCH!), Thirty Minutes Over Tokyo...all great episodes.

Season 11 is where the dud episodes start to kick in...Season 12 isn't much better...
