I thought he played better tonight than the past few weeks. Shit defence lost us that game. I don't understand why our defence policy is....leave the winger with space. We hardly stop the winger from scoring.
He may have played better in patches but the game on the line and yet he can’t and never has pulled one off for the win. If a club was willing to take him off our hands I would handcuff them. All that wasted money on him could go to reinvest on someone with quality.

thought frank molo played real well tonight and lawrie has somehow reached a new level in the last few weeks playing big minutes and being impressive . we have really missed sua and his punishing defence and of course JDB
If we had a left winger like either of the storms then our 'luck" changes I just hope Flanno has got someone all lined up Im hoping for the win against newcastle so at least we get a win . Love how they didnt give up tonight there is light at the end of the tunnel and I hope Carr stays and doesnt go to the tigers

In all seriousness. He played well tonight and has been playing well for a few weeks now. Hope he keeps it up and proves me wrong. I love to be proven wrong when it comes to the dragons.
If only he took the tackle and not tries to kick with 4 minutes to go. Quick play the ball we had them shot. Thought he could of looked inside instead of edging cross field.
Easy to say but these things we need to nail. It is frustrating

Least the bunker didn't screw us this week another loss but the way we lost was a heartbreaker no complaints played an elite team and came up short hopefully we beat NZ or Newcastle.
Even the opposition captain in the the press conference gave us a wrap and supporters supposedly hope saying we have a fair bit to look forward to. :)
Hope you are right Christian

He did have a few brain farts. But in the past few years his whole game would have been one massive brain fart

I agree with you Willow , the beggars robed us along with those damn officials ! There were a couple of tackles late in the game that have big question marks over them , namely the Billy Burns which I thought may had been a strip and of course the Hunt ‘ slam in the turf ‘ .

The poor sod was flattened and the Storm come up with the ball and surprise, surprise , damn surprise a bloody try in the bargain .

The Dragons showed plenty of heart and were certainly in the match and would had been deserving winners if only the passes had stuck , but not to be . I hope that they sing the team song with a much enthusiasm as they would had as if they had a win as they have played some good footy over the last few weeks .
Melbourne's first three tries were all ref assisted.

In the lead up up the first Melbourne try, Grant stripped the ball against Rava, that got them possession. Then they got away with an obstruction, and a forward pass to boot.
The second/third Melbourne try came on the back of a penalty for 'hand on the ball' - wonderful field position. It was followed by 3 x ref assisted six-agains on our line - thanks to that arbitrary enigma known as ruck infringements. Pretty hard to defend against that.

A short time later we were rucking it out and Melbourne were all over us in the ruck, but no six agains.

Later in the game I noticed ref setting us up for one, calling "held" incredibly early, followed by "six again" when the players didn't break away soon enough.

Yeah, I don't like the way this six again is being implemented, I know why it's there but it's far too arbitrary and open to abuse.

On the upside, the boys never gave up. I thought they won the ruck and deserved to win. That's been the case for the last few weeks.

Six agains are a blight on the game.
You can’t have a “rule” whereby every referee has a different interpretation.

Yes highest rate of missed tackles in 6 too. Anyway some of these guys are playing to get noticed or re-signed. I like mostly of what Flanno has done so far from the outside looking in.
I will be happy with all when I see who comes for next year in staff and players although watchling last night I can see why Bud left. He would not be first choice next year if Hunt stays.
The team seemed in a much happier place last night compared to last week

lets be frank. It is the biggest momentum helper and Melbourne got back into the game because of a run of possession, penalties, 6 agains, off side on the short side and forward passess from dummy half. Markers not square was supposedly the major catalyst for our 6 agains.. really
There is too much leniency and advantages given to attacking teams around the ruck as I keep banging on about. Play to the rules in the ruck, play the ball, moving off the mark etc. It would slow the game down around there for the better
