Seriously though...... Mullen is shit.

It's been 10 years. If hasn't developed by now, he never will.

You can't sit around, watching an entire career unfold, & keep saying 'he'll come good....'

I've tried to defend Mullo but I really can't after tonight.

I predicted he was going to fall to shit again the moment Bennett left. I further cringed when Stone said he wanted the team to start playing what's in front of them more because Mullen can't handle it. He has vision, but he second guesses himself too much. He can only thrive in a situation leading the team where it's 5x tackles and then putting in a long kick.

That would be fine if we had other spine players that could jump in and help but we don't...made worse by the fact that Stone keeps playing them out of position to accomodate Sione.

Seriously though our forwards were destroyed tonight (of what I saw of the game).

Seriously though, we'll be fine.

We looked lost, we lacked structure, we lacked direction, but can anyone honestly tell me with a straight face and without pulling utter garbage from their arse that the inconsistency of the last two weeks compared to the opening month is ANY DIFFERENT to the previous two years? Hell, previous three as I'm sure we did well towards the back of 2012.

No, it isn't.

We're all so quick to call of Mullen's head yet I can look back at the back end of the last two seasons alone and show enough proof that the guy will eventually come good at some point in the season.

Whatever Tyrone's place is, surely it will be figured out. We need someone more than just a supporting act, someone to take the pressure off of Mullen and help with the structure and the overall direction of the team of the field. All I see from him is going for the big miracle play, the dummy, the sly kick into the back and a bomb here and there. I still think there's a place for him in the side and it's most likely off the bench in the 14, then again Randell has been playing well.

Sione needs to either start or not play at all. Love the kid, still think he's going to be a superstar and a comer stone of any success we may have but it disrupts too much and honestly I don't mind Gidley at fullback. His service from hooker is just all round poor and it was incredibly noticeable the moment Clydsdale went off. Forwards weren't rolling, everything seemed to slow down. Until that point I could actually watch.

Houston and Fa'alogo need to go but sadly they won't for whatever f**king reason.

There's a quality side here. Sims brothers for the 40 minutes I watched looked excellent; ran the ball up well and top in defence. Our backline has the most skill and ability in the competition, light years a head of the rest but just isn't being used enough. Clydsdale looks better in every game, Snowden looked tops, Tapine looked good. Just dumb plays, a lack of direction and a lack of confidence is killing this side. Stone needs to make some decisions regardless if the players themselves don't like it or not. I still firmly believe we'll come good towards the back end of the season; no one plays good footy for 26 rounds unless you're a side built from outside talent (ala chooks 2013). It's just going to feel like March-June 2013 and 2014 all over again.

I'd tend to agree. The guy has a great long kicking game and can run the ball, but how many seasons do you wait for him to reach his potential before you decide he's a thinner, white Owen Craigie?

The forwards were a massive issue tonight but I can't help but think that was also due to issues at hooker. I really don't think we'd lose much by dropping Roberts to the bench and putting Gidley at halfback. I know he can be toxic there but it's not like we have a better option. Roberts has been abysmal all year...Mullen not much better.

Worked wonders last year when he was finally moved out of hooker. :-k

Won three straight.

I have always maintain Tyrone would make a good hooker. His best asset is his running game which would trouble tiring forwards.

Totally agree. This forum has been a love in for Mullen for way too long. Even his running game is pretty non existent aside from the odd time he finds himself in open space. His decision making under pressure, well it's hardly even first grade standard let alone bloody Origin.

He's pretty much a perfect bench utility. His defence wouldn't hold up at hooker all game but every time he goes there he's excellent. We need to buy a halfback and move Roberts to #14.

We can't play in the wet.

The halves have been horrible. Roberts is really starting to frustrate me. He has played for a long time now and he still isn't able to control a game. He has a show and go, but generally offers little else. His 'big plays' are a rarity.

Sione MUST be dropped to NSW cup. I'm not anti Sione but it throws the team out having him there and he's not a fullback at this point in his career.

The polish isn't there. Our execution is very poor.

Our defense whilst committed aren't working well as a unit to dominate the player. I've lost count how many times the opposition play the ball without us having even one marker. If we do have a marker he's backpedaling trying to get into position and by that time it's too late.

I actually thought Sione was pretty good tonight. Obviously not a fullback but he was probably the least of our problems.

Saying that though if Stone picks him on the bench one more time I'm going to lose my shit. He's gotta start or not be in the side at all. It's just ridiculous now.

Honestly my major concern at the moment is Stone. I do think he can coach, but he clearly hasn't grown from 3 years ago when he'd keep persisting with the same side despite it clearly not working.

We deadset need to lose Mullen and Gidley.
That'd give us enough cap space to go after a gun halfback which is exactly what we need

I thought Sione had his best game of the year tonight

Why has Wayne got the Broncos firing on all cylinders right off the bat but only managed it for an 8 week period with us out of 3 years. Our club has a cancer inside. We will never see the glory days ever again.
Why are you wasting time and money supporting the club if you think they'll "never see the glory days ever again"?

There is no accountability in the place at all, Brian Smith tried to make players accountable once upon a time and was nearly chased out of town
