Where Are We Going?

We deadset need to lose Mullen and Gidley.
That'd give us enough cap space to go after a gun halfback which is exactly what we need

Since 1990 we have made five signings from outside the club that would be classed as anything more than "solid at best" an weren't bennett related. BK, Parsons, De Gois, Brian Carney, Tariq

Anyone who thinks a top halfback would sign here is dreaming. Have to wait 2 years and hope like christ lamb is the answer.

There is no accountability in the place at all, Brian Smith tried to make players accountable once upon a time and was nearly chased out of town

Absolutely. Let's be honest here, at a professional club Houston, Gidley, Roberts and Fa'alogo would have been pissed off ages ago. Mullen would either be playing well alongside an organising halves partner or he would have been pissed off as well. BJ wouldn't be allowed in firgrade until he fixed his errors and someone would have come down on Gags about the defence. The Mata'uta brothers would have been selected on the wings after how they finished the year, and it would have been up to McManus and Uate to force their way back into the side. I love both of them and prefer them in the side but they're very lucky. Any coach with balls would have selected on form over his incumbent favourites to start the year.

It's a joke that someone like Houston who turns in utter crap performances week after week, year after year gets rewarded with a starting spot in an important position. You can bet when Rochow comes back it'll be Tapine that'll get pissed off and Houston will be unscathed yet again. Stone is also free to do it because he won't have to be accountable to our joke of a CEO whose presence also ensures our joke of a captain a spot.

We have a team to be top 4 if the top 17 stay fit, the interchange is used AT LEAST in an adequate way and we just had a bit more composure.

Right now we seem to want to score every time when we're in the opposition 20 when sometimes you just have to say lets put the grubber in and go for the repeat set and build pressure.

Houston was dropped a couple times when Bennett was coach.

After it was too late, and he was right back in there again after 1-2 games...

I don't get it. I maintain he must have video recordings of someone at the club trying to buy drugs or something and is using it over the coaching staff. It's the only explanation.

lol we really dont mate. Stop kidding yourself

We have one decent prop and one bench prop who is almost there. The rest are glorified NSW Cup level back rowers pretending to play up front

We have 2 halves who need a steady hand next to them

We have a club captain who is 2nd in the pecking order in any position he plays, at best

We have a hooker rotation that is greener than an angry Bruce Banner

No where near top 4 in this current competition. Not even close

Brian Smith was the one coach who made the big calls as needed. I often wonder where we would be had he stayed on long term. His mind games don't help his cause.

It's pretty simple.

Forwards keep you in games, your spine wins them.

We have the worst spine in the comp, arguably tied with the Sharks. Theirs is more balanced as both Robson and Ennis (while not great) are organisers.

Think about it - our only current spine player not in the bottom 3 at their position is Mullo.

Until we fix that we will continue to run a respectable 8-11th.

Mullen in form is the only thing keeping us near the Sharks' spine (and he isn't in form at the moment). They have 2 fullback options that are daylight ahead of either of ours in addition to your points above. I would argue that they have our measure comfortably.

Sorry mate but I dont. Our top 17 all fit is still not a top 4 team imo no matter how they play

We dont have a prop rotation nor a spine to compete with the teams who are top 4 material

We have two great runners in the Sims brothers but we always use House to run into the holes... He hits the hole softer than a cheese stick on wet bread... Use some plays to get Rochow, Leilua and the Sims brothers into holes.
