Well to be honest, having two people serve at the counter and having an abudance of useless salespeople wandering the floor while there are twenty people waiting in line is unacceptable. This is not communist China, this is Australia.

I would imagine that not all salespeople are trained on registers, just a thought.

I get mine off Amazon or Bookworld. The shipping fees on Amazon are still cheaper than in stores!

Some albums I buy straight from artists websites. Ordered the new Rachel Brooke album off her website.

I have that dilemma too. I still buy CD's but immediately rip them onto itunes and and then put them in the rack.

When you die someone has to get your CD collection, just like on Bill & Ted.

I miss the old second hand CD stores on Pitt Street behind what is now World Square. Discovered many artists there I never would have listened to but for taking a gameble on a $1 - $5 CD

seriously ...
red eye records have a heaps of stuff online.
I buy my cd's from them.

No lining up...you get an actual cd and it gets delivered to your door.

Love Red Eye and always go for a brows when I'm in Sydney.

A while ago there was a big record store underground near Central. Utopia? They ended up moving to a smaller space and I was there in April but I used to go ape shit at the old store when I was younger and in Sydney visiting my nanna.

Both record stores are awesome, yeah Utopia is tiny now compared to what it used to be like. There is quiet a few good ones in the city but one I love going is Beat Disc records in Parramatta.
