Next week we take on Penrith at Campbelltown. They definitely have the wood on us.

With our key backs playing like sh*t for over a month now, maybe its time for a shake up.

I know this has 0 chance of happening, but I'd like to see a few players dropped.

1 - Rhys Pritchard
2 - Mitch Brown
3 - Nu Akeripa
4 - Chris Lawrence
5 - Gus Aiga
6 - Darren Nicholls
7 - Blake Lazarus
8 - Bryce Gibbs
9 - Robbie Farah
10 - Simon Dwyer
11 - Liam Fulton
12 - Gareth Ellis
13 - Chris Heighington

14 - Junior Moors
15 - Keith Galloway
16 - Simon Dwyer
17 - Lote Tuqiri

It's about time these players were made to realise that their positions aren't set in stone and that they need to play well to retain their spots in the top grade.

It also gives the guys in the lower grades hope that they can become regular first graders. The way it should work is that the better the lower graders play, the better the firsts have to play to prove their position in the top grade.

At this stage, the Wests and BRET teams in NSW Cup are performing much more consistently and passionately than the Wests Tigers team.

Should have stuck with Lazarus at #7 from the get go, when Moltzen went down. He would have settled in just fine. Could have had-

1 McKinnon (if fit)
6 Marshall
7 Lazarus
9 Farah

Which, by now, could have gelled the way Gallant, Marshall, Moltzen and Farah did so well. On the dropping thing, well yeah. But, it should have been happening years ago.

ONe thing we know about Sheens by now- wholesale changes / dropping due to form is not in his vocabulary. He'll probably drop the newbie blaming him for the abysmal effort.

But having said that, now is the time for some changing / dropping due to form- to give them a kick and earn reinstatement. Funny though, we have been giving it to the forwards more often than not but they did OK last night it was the backline that stood out in their farcical effort.

Is Daniella unjured?

I'd go with MU's suggested backline butr raise a few if's.

1 - McKinnon (if fit), if not Rhys Pritchard
2 - Mitch Brown
3 - Nu Akeripa or Ayshford (cant make my mind up I think Ayshford was solid last night but not exceptional)
4 - Chris Lawrence (if fit)
5 - Gus Aiga
6 - Darren Nicholls
7 - Blake Lazarus

Ryan - drop because of brain explosions and bad form- he needs to be a footballer, earn it and not a TV star.

Marshall- drop because of brain explosions and to learn some patience and discipline.

Tuqiri - drop to interchange- his form has been down and as a senior player the errors that were made last night were inexusable- eg not calling for the ball before he and Ryan collided.

Lui- his defense was not good. Can still see him hanging on the the Souths players guernsey neckline as they run across the WT tryline. Generally, Lui does not bring any attack to the team, does not take pressure off Marshall, does not help steady Marshall and his defense remains woeful.

Ayshford- dunno whether to keep or drop. Can only have 1 back on the interchange and I'd go for Tuqiri over him.

Long Term best thing for the Tigers would be to miss the 8.

That guarantees that clown of coach is not there next season.

True, I agree totally. I reckon WT will squeak intot he final 8 and be knocked out first round. They have not played well all year, key players are not in form, their goal kickiong is generally woeful, their attack has evaporated and too many players whose defense can be found wanting. The opposition in the finals will know who to run at and kick too. Christ, if we can see it, they can too.

I hope Souths embarassing us causes some soul searching at WT HQ.

Having said that I'm glad WT are where they are in the ladder, unfortunately I think it is a hollow position. We will be found wanting.

2 Dwyers??? ....

Problem is we have no backup plan as usual...

Would like to see Benji at 1 - that way he can do whatever he wants in attack.....

Susceptible when outside the off-stump and moving away.

On topic: you guys were woeful on one of those days when nothing goes right - I have little time for Sheens but as the Titans have shown a wake up call is sometimes enough... in fact, without Benji's brain explosions at critical times you win by 20... it all starts there.

Trouble is how to you fix Benji's brain explosions? Maturity has not done it yet. Sheens has built the team around him unfortunately his unpredicability means, in my opinion anyway, that it should not be so. I'd rather a solid 5/8 and 1/2 combination that lead the pack and the backs around the park. Benji can be part of that but he cannot and should not try to do it all himself.

If we scrape in and make the eight its really no big achievment considering the Storm are excluded due to the salary cap rort.If our tried and tested zero impact players continued to get selected we more than likely will be only making up the numbers come semi-finals time.

No discipline in his entire career, the ''benefit'' of only having one coach...its obvious he's had free rein and with a player like him you dont want to restrict hiom too much, but there also needs to be a plan that is stuck to.
A fine balance I guess....but he's been running his own race for years, it wont change now.
He needed a new coach two years ago

Can he play prop ?
Actually, don't worry about the answer, even if he can't let's chuck him in there.
Worked brilliantly for Corey Payne, Bronson Harrison, Danny Galea and now Simon Dwyer
