At the start of the season it was announced that ET would be part of Raper's coaching team. Did I miss something? I can't recall seeing him at all during the season.

I saw him at Townsville on the economy class flight home from the Cowboys game. Les Davidson was on the plane as well.
He was also sighted squeezing onto a bus from the ground to the Cowboys club on the day of the game. Wasn't the team bus either.
Other than that I haven't seen him either.

He was probably in North Queensland on a fishing trip!
Too many TV commitments me thinks.

Hopefully all that will change next year. I think this year was more sort of touchy feely baby steps for ET, just to see what he thought of it and how he'd handle it.

ET was standing in line for a public bus in Townsville after the game as well...All the blue wigs were laughing at him..

Or was he laughing at us? :?

We caught the bus first so you can work it out from there...

Anyway obviously he wasn't on the payroll at the Sharks in 2004.

He was up there with a sponsor and a few mates, taking in some fishing and catching the footy, no official capacity.

I understand that next season is when his coaching role will take on more substantial duties.

Absolutely!!!

I believe that in the modern era, what determines the real winners is the team spirit - that's how last year a team of relative unknowns (at the time) beat a team of so-called champions.

If ET is part of the coaching squad then not only does he bring a wealth of talent and a great rugby league brain, he also brings a truly great attitude and self-belief.

is Les Davidson part of the coaching team, he would be a asset in the roles of a forwards coach ball playing and playing tough and hard, get Gavin Miller up as well, let them to work with young forwards, anything they put them through, playing first grade will be walk in the park

I'd love to see Davo and Gavin do some work with our forwards, with the size of some of our new guys Davo could in-still the mongrel that has been missing over the last couple of years and Gavin to teach them the art of off loads.
We would have a pack to be feared once again. :D
