Last season attitude and fitness was what was lacking from the team, this season from what i have seen so far fitness will not be much of an issue as it was last season and i think the fact that DA takes no sh*te from anyone, we will see a diff team going around this year ...

5th will be great and it was only 3 more wins than last season would of seen us be in that position .. teams are more even and think 30 - 32 points will get u there.

4 points for a bye which means you are looking @ 15 wins ... 9 losses .. if we make the 8 this season i will be very happy.

quite possibly, but our squad is considerably weaker thanks to Hagan's inability to assemble a strong competative squad on his own.

I wish people would stop knocking Michael Hagan. Last year we only had four or five genuine first-grade players. Possibly the weakest team on paper of any in the NRL. The year before wasn`t a whole lot better. Listen, Hagan won a premiership. We hear the tired old explanation that 'he only did that because Andrew Johns was in the side'. Well, if that`s the case, what about Bellamy and Bennett and Hasler - look at their line-ups! C`mon, give him a break. Tim Sheens had the most miserable record at the Cowboys of any coach in living memory; but is he a bad coach? Give Hagan a break. What about our recruitment of players? That`s where the real problem lies. Who was the last fair-dinkum STAR that Parramatta bought? Ken Thornett?

I was about to say I wholeheartedly agree, but then I got thinking about how good Manly and Melbourne and Brisbane have been the last couple of years.

I think DA will give us the determination and patterns and pride in defence that the teams at the top have, but not sure if we will get over the line.

We'll be up there though.
