This guy used to average most offloads per game the last few seasons, now he hardly does it. I reckon Anderson has to give him a free ticket out there and also more minutes, he was our best player on the weekend.

He needs guys to run with him and support him to offload , most of the time the team stand back loafing while the guy hitting the ball up is on his own , not just for Feleti - for everyone .

Maybe not the best player, but bit better than previous weeks.

He looked to try get offloads away but he was either wraped up or had no good runners. The one he got to Hayne which was forward was a good sign, and Hayne has to sprint through when Mateo runs it on all occasions, not just once.

It might havbe something to do with the fact when we played Cronulla he lost us possession about 4 times attempting offloads. We were in 10 metres out from the Sharks' line and he attempted an offload that end up going 2 metres forward.

I think there are 2 main reasons for it.

1. Ando has rained him in and told him not to pass unless he is sure of it, so he is in 2 minds now and often holds it. In Ando's own words "gun shy".

2. No support whatsoever, Hayne as the fullback should be following him but he is too busy trying to be a 5/8. Burt is on the wing so can't come infield following him and no one else can be bothered. It's a lazy team that doesn't support each other, which is strange considering that's what made them successful last year.

So when someone has finally bothered to back him up he is unsure whether or not to pass it. Then when he has plenty of time and room to throw an offload there is no one there to get it.

Add to this the one out football making the forwards sitting ducks... Hard to get the ball away when the opposition are putting numbers into the tackle.

How come when Hayne attacks, he has people outside him expecting a pass.

When Feleti runs, noones around?

Is Hayne marshalling the players and telling them what he wants?

Is Feleti not communicating to his fellow team mates?

in every game so far, it seems our entire attack is on the back foot. we never have any room. mateos offloads are no exception.

also he has been used as a wide running forward this year, he is expected to catch and run. Last year he was running through the middle of the field.

Fiction: Mateo is not offloading the ball.

Fact: Mateo is averaging 1.6 offloads per game so far this season - and ranks 23rd in the NRL for offloads made.

Ok - so that's down on his normal form, but if you remember, he started off a little bit more slowly last season with his offloading. Perhaps he's just having a slow start this season?

I'm predicting him off the bench this week and to play well, offload more than a few times, and for us to beat those lousy rabbitohs.

As long as the last part comes true I don't care if he even offloads once!

feleti has looked like our best player when he gets the ball, he's just not getting the ball and he has absoultly no support runners and that is our main problem!! No one is backing up everyone is going off about our lack offloads but no one is following the play no energy just giving up on plays AND THAT IS THE REAL PROBLEM~~!!!!

I dont presume to have all the answers and am pissed as anyone with the season so far BUT maybe DA is restricting the plays. At the end of last season we were playing catch up football with nothing to lose and it was a joy to watch and impossible to coach against.I firmly believe Mateo has been told Not to be his flambouyant self so no one is in support. And I think this goes for all the team.A safety first mode of play is being coached! On paper we are top four material indvidually as a team we are sad!!! However we should win this sunday as for the first time since I dont know how long I have tipped against them See you at the game!!

I think lessening his offloads is a good sign as it lowers our error rate which we have been struggling on because his habit in holding the ball in one hand may not always pay off , as shown in the sharks game...

Not saying don't offload at all but offload is effective when in good field position. Example when we are in our attacking zone ( oppositions half) popping a ball out will only increase the teams confidence in attack with the 2nd phase plays.

I've tipped against them three out of 5 times this season.
I'm doing pretty well in the tipping comps.

Though the offloads is what basically sparked our scoring and attacking ability, it is something which is not important atm for us and that our squad has more better parts in our game to improve than offloading.

I'm tipping us this week now too, decided today that we can win.
Rabbits lacked some go forward against newcastle last week once Roy went off and looks like he isn't playing this week, also we are better side with Inu in.
