The NRL and the Broadcast rights mobs are certainly getting their pound of flesh out of the players/cattle these days.

I know that some of them (players) are highly paid but eight months of pounding and bashing ones body, well.

I think most clubs might need some kind of a sports scientist to get the 'boyz' through it all.

I was sitting there eating my dinner, glanced at the clock and it was about 2 minutes to 8.
"Hang on", I thought. "It's still daylight saving over there. It's game day in 2 minutes".
I actually meant to do it last year but forgot.

Footy used to start mid-March even less than 5 or so years ago. Crazy were only 5 weeks on from New Year’s Eve and watching a footy game. Insane.
