At the end of the day the amount of players clubs bring through from NYC is irrelevant with the amount of poaching that goes on at junior level.

WA has no club funding Jnr development. Just the hard work of local amateur clubs and the warl with a bit of nrl funding. Leagues clubs exist to fund Jnr sport, nrl clubs should have no part in it, NRL should be funding through the state body things like a national insurance scheme, kit reduced costs, equipment and development grants etc.

I was talking to some people, here who started a Jnr RL club up recently and the problems and difficulties they had and still have getting support is ridiculous. Basically very little available to help volunteers get clubs up and running. Credit to them they have perceived and now have a great Jnr club with a number of teams up and running.

There is no NRL clubs funding junior development virtually anywhere in regional QLD and NSW. The situation you are describing is normal.

Basically junior footy runs on the dedication of volunteers, parents and the community.
