That would have put you 3 years ahead of me as I was playing 12's that year. I would think I would have seen you play a number of times that year.

Towradgi Rosellas, which later became Corrimal Cougars (Dragons).....the most embarassing part, having to wear red and green as Cougars.

Same as Greg Inglis, I played for Gateshead High School (now known as Hunter Sports High) So I would be a Newcastle Junior, That's in QLD right?

hehe, not if your Peter Sterling.
Look, new south wales stole alot of Queensland territory with their shonky squigley border line that eats away at the true Queensland straight line border.
If Queensland took back the true line, then we would own Byron Bay as well. So think yourself lucky only Inglis left NSW.
It is why people in Tweed heads cross the border to have kids, just so they can claim their true birth-rights.
That is where the two heads comes into play.

QLD border has always been from Pt. Danger. The only change has been the western border in 1862

"...Now know you, that We have, in pursuance of the powers vested in Us by the said Bill and Act, and of all other powers and authorities in Us in that behalf vested separated from our Colony of New South Wales, and erected in to a separate Colony, so much of the said colony of New South Wales as lies northward of a line commencing on the sea coast at Point Danger, in latitude about 28º 8’ south, and following the range thence which divides the waters of the Tweed, Richmond, and Clarence Rivers from those of the Logan and Brisbane Rivers, westerly, to the great dividing range between the waters falling to the east coast and those of the River Murray; following the great dividing range southerly to the range dividing the waters of Tenterfield Creek from those of the main head of the Dumaresq River; following that range westerly to the Dumaresq River; and following that river (which is locally known as the Severn) downward to its confluence with the Macintyre River; thence following the Macintyre River, which lower down becomes the Barwan, downward to the 29th parallel of south latitude, and following that parallel westerly to the 141st meridian of east longitude, which is the eastern boundary of South Australia, together with all and every the adjacent Islands, their members and appurtenances, in the Pacific Ocean: And do by these presents separate from our said colony of New South Wales and erect the said territory so described into a separate colony to be called the colony of Queensland..." we had guys in the team that also played 16s for Muswellbrook. Played for Aberdeen one Saturday afternoon followed by a night game at Muswellbrook against teammates from a few hours beforehand. Lots of distance travelled playing group 21

I didn't grow up in Australia and they didn't play League where I come from, so no Juniors as a kid

In Australia, I first lived in Double Bay, so the now defunct Rose Bay Rams (Roosters) would be most local

Now I live in Pymble which has no Junior club. My nearest would be Lane Cove (Norths / Central Coast Bears) or Belrose Eagles (Manly)
