The Roosters will not struggle (i.e. miss out on the top 4) unless Cronk and Tedesco do their ACLs or something nearly as catastrophic. The only question is whether they make the Grand Final and win it.

Incidentally, there are only three teams that can win the Grand Final and the Sydney Roosters is one of them.

Spear Tackle Kearney is safe if the Warriors make the top 8. But whether or not they will is an open question.

Please put wingers on the bench again Robbo. Needs more wingers...

One can only hope that those injuries actually happen.

I reckon its a match race between Kearney and Griffin at this stage as to who goes first.

Both are dead men walking unless they have some amazing results in the first half of the season.

It's really a photo finish for a host of reasons. Kearney is the worst employed coach, but is assisted by two guys who are probably even less equipped than him (although that could be argued given McFadden produced better results...however he's going back to Canberra).

Griffin seemingly has the protection of Uncle Gus, although again is a piss poor coach. Has a better squad too. He and Mary would have to be in the gun more than say Kearney given they're in Sydney, where Hasler or Maguire are poised ready to jump in at a moment's notice. Not the same situation in NZ, our CEO would have to have shoulder-tapped someone if he was to fire Kearney for poor results. There's no way in the wide world we can afford to fire ANOTHER coach and replace him mid-season with another unproven Kiwi coach (remember, there's never been a successful Kiwi NRL coach) like Stacey Jones.

Then there's someone like Seibold who any Board wouldn't hesitate to shove off a cliff with a moment's notice. So it could be any one of about 5-6, I don't reckon there's a clear favourite.

And anyone saying Ivan, lay off the crack in the off-season. He'll be a star, and doesn't have a f**kwit like Gus holding the gullotine over his head.
