Depends on what pressure your talking about

Presure from the fans to perform: Vella
Presure from youngsters coming through who want a big shot: PJ Marsh, Matt Petersen & Luke Burt
Presure from the media: Whoever plays in the 6 and 7 jerseys

Sounds good.

Also, I think Morrison and Wagon realistically have to perform. Afamasaga and Mateo could easily be knocking on the door for First Grade selection.

Wagon = Guaranteed spot.

Why? Only because of Smith.

Yeah I suppose so eh?

Because if I was coach, if either Morro or Wags were not performing, Mateo and/or Afamasaga would easily step up.

But anyway I think Wags needs to be there - the fact he won the Players' Player Award clearly indicates that his teammates value his work. Thus I think for purposes of spirit he needs to be in the side.

I suppose I agree but I can't find a spot for him unless he plays in the centres like I suggested last year but never happened.

I see it like this. Even though the last 2 seasons have been poor the players still enjoy being coached by Smith. The fact that we have some class players coming show that players want to haver structure. I also think players like Wagon and Vella need to be there as they are valued by their teammates. Dysfunction within the team and diagreement with the coaches descision to drop the player wouldnt really make you play well or listen to the coach. When Vella, Wagon or Cayless and a heaps of other players play well the team does. They need to be there.

Tahu, he was bought for his attacking flair but he will have plenty of pressure on him to perform in defence.

Grothe will be under pressure after being given a second chance at Parra, he needs to string some solid games together, we all know his potential but sooner or later someone will cement a spot ahead of him and he won't get back into the side.

Morrison and Ridell and to a lesser extent Marsh seem to have been given the tag as saviours for Parra, they will have a heap of pressure on them too.

For the similar reasons to Grothe......Cayless, Vella, Cannings.

Wags needs to find a spot (centre in my opinion) and make it his own.

I don't think there are many guys in the team who won't have pressure on them.

say the worst happens and PJ cannot be halfback - i say the pressure would be on Timmy Smith - like what poor witty copped when he got tossed into first grade
