Which position would he play in the NFL?

Thinking of some of our best NRL players, hypothetically off course, if they played in the NFL, which position(s) would they play or most suited to.

For instance, I think of Michael Jennings and I immediately think Running Back.
But then I think of Billy Slater and my first thought is running back. Thinking of his style of play I think he'd be better of as a small great route running receiver.

Anthony Minichiello, I'll say Cornerback.

So go ahead, name a player and what position(s) he'd most likely play

Fui would be a Fullback for sure.

Akuila Uate would be an awesome running back IMO, powerful and fast, he's about the same size as Adrian Peterson and athletically wouldn't be too far behind

The count as a cb? dude is way too stiff and doesnt have the pace. Slater would be be at best a KR/PR if anything at all, i see Jennings as a CB, great feet and speed. Then again you cant project these guys across due to the differences in the games.

Josh Dugan is my favourite player and i think he'd do well as a Safety, good vision, good instincts, fast enough and a sure tackler in the backfield.

GI for mine would wind up a TE.
Uate for RB is a good one. I think Slater could make a go of it as a specialist return man.

Carl Webb could be a NT

Definitely Uate for RB.

Fui as a right side DE.

Tahu would have made a more than reasonable TE.

Slater to cut oranges.

Fui would be the smallest DE by a long long way and same with Tahu at TE. Fui is about 5'11 and 235 pounds, that'd be considered undersized even for a linebacker. Tahu is about 6'1 and 225 pounds, would be decent size for a WR, would be way undersized for a TE

Fui is listed at 108 (240lb), 6"0 tall this year. He played long enough around the 113kg (250lb) & over mark so he can physically do that. Dwight Freeney, who some consider a reasonable pass rushing DE, is 6"1 121kg (268lb). Hell, Mathis on the left side is 6"2 111kg (245lb). I wouldn't say Fui is that far from being in their ballpark. The days of pure giants at DE disappeared a long time ago, they have their place, but right side is a smaller, more explosive position now. Depending on the defensive setup. Vernon Davis & Dallas Clarke are only 6"3 & 113kg (250lb), Tahu isn't exactly there but again, it's a fair comparison & hardly leaves him way undersized. And it would be fair to say those two aren't bums in their position either.

I took this thread as picking players that we have & creating a side, not where would they play if they were born in a different country, trained in a different way & had nothing to do with rugby league whatsoever. Maybe that was my screw up. ;-)

Watmough I reckon would be more of a safety. Inglis the way he's going will end up LT size very soon

Also, T Rex, I believe he's the heaviest in the NRL, could go alright with the short attention span needed and some decent sprint training.

Matai would be a strong safety, waaaaay too small for line backer, he's about 208 pounds, even small linebackers are around 30 pounds bugger than him. Tony Williams would make a decent tightend or a big RB like Brandon Jacobs

Talking more about his attitude than his size, most of our guys a tiny compared to them, endurance v explosive power and all that.
