Well that is an easy one...

Emmitt Smith.

What do you mean, "fancy calling out LT when your a Patriots fan"... fans of the NFL are too quick to label people the best ever or as greats of all time.

LT will always be considered an extremely good RB. But to consider him in the same pool as Jerry Rice, who is easily one of the best ever, is absolute stupidity. :lol:

LT has not helped his team win a championship (especially with the talent around him!!!) nor has he fought through the pain to win. He is soft and he is a show-pony. He is only considered so great because we are in ana ge of fantasy football where fans look at stats only over a short period of time and if we were to talk about MVPs then we'd be calling Kurt Warner the best ever with his 3.

The only reason why you're reluctant to crown him is because of what he said about the Patriots.

LT is a lock for the Hall of fame - Therefore he's one of the best ever despite not having won a ring. You look at the Chargers pre LT, and you tell me he hasn't made a real difference, he's stayed healthy and taken the Chargers from a .250 team to a contender.

Remembering that Ditka was coach of the 85' Bears and would have bias toward Sweetness. Even though he's had a down season, he's still on track for his 8th 1000 yard year and nearing 12 000 yards. Only the 5th player in NFL history to run for 10 000 yards and 500 receptions. The question of longevity and sustained production without being a compiler should not even be brought up in the way Emmitt Smith did it.

Great player, definitely a HOFer but I can't stand the guy, he tries to come across as a team player and a humanitarian but he's a whinger and has sour grapes when things don't go his way. Now he is calling out his offensive line, give me a f**ken break, just STFU and run the football.

I'll never forget last playoffs against the Pats, his team needed him and he sat on the bench all game with his dark vader helmet and sulked, coulda tried to guts it out or at least stand with his teammates on the sideline all animated but he did neither.

He isn't close to Jerry Rice, an NFL GOAT, LT is probably a top 5-10 RB of all-time

Tomlinson talks all classy when he is winning... when things don't go his way he is a whinger, and that is what makes you "classy".

And for the record, I don't care about class when it comes to football players. But if LT is going to set a standard he better live up to it himself.

I don't know how you can classify what LT is doing now as amazing. He has the worst yards per carry in the top 30 running backs in the league (almost the entire league) and is 14th in total yards.

Thats fine for him to stay on the bench, but why wasn't he willing his teammates on and getting animated like the 'team' player that he is? He jsut sat there and sulked.

You don't call your teammates out in public period, he thinks he has the right to do it because he is their best player, I disagree.

Like I said, great player but i don't buy him being a 'classy' player.

Class if overrated by the way, 49ers have drafted so many high character guys who suck ass, frustrating.
