Any number of the Need for Speeds were better than DiRT: Showdown. Showdown was a huge disappointment to me, actually... a bit of fun, but didn't hold me.

I'll say unequivocally that NFS: Hot Pursuit, NFS: High Stakes, NFS: Undergound and NFS: Most Wanted (2005) were all far better than Showdown off the top of my head... both as games relative to their time and as games outright.

A bit harsh but I'll accept it. I actually really liked Showdown, especially the Knock Out game mode... my only complaint is that there wasn't enough of those game types :lol: I like the commentary, the cars, even the soundtrack - it gave me access to a whole heap of awesome rock songs I never knew about, but I'll respect your response.

Wonderboy III for mine. High-Tech World was the one Alex Kidd game I could never get into.
