I saw a story about PJ's wife being pregnant and due on grand final day she said it was fine with her if he played instead of going to the hospital with her but it got me thinking, if you were in the same situation would you play or not?

Its a hard hard decision to make because either way you are missing out on what could be a once in a lifetime experience, what do the rest of you think?

he's just being hypothetical - no harm (must be channelling eela)

I say - tell her to cross her legs and hold it in for a few hours  ;-)

first we have to make it to the bloody gf. WE AREN'T EVEN IN THE FINALS YET.

Don't start this sh*te already

no one said we were, he's asking what choice would you make IF we were

a GF is a once in a lifetime experience for alot of people and I read where his wife said he should play

what a wife she is

lol as if you wouldn't play the grand final

i mean child birth is important and all but winning a grand final is something most players have dreamt of since they were 5 and i'm sure their wives would understand that

he should choose the baby because it could mean the difference between having 13 more kids or just one with the wife because she would be a little angered then that anger might grow as time passes and f*ck up there marriage.

Ohh that's right- seen one seen um all:roll:
GF is a good excuse to miss the birth. My husband used the excuse of "getting a decent coffee" to excuse himself from the birth of our third child.
WHat do you think of those apples?

Actualluy I think the real question is.Should SHE go to the game and give birth at half time or miss the one chance PJ may have to get a GF ring giving birth in a more private venue.(women can be sooo insensitive)

I saw my son born & if I could turn back time I'd have not gone in. I was not ready for it at all. With my daughters birth, I got out of seeing that because as soon as my wife started the heavy breathing I started thowing up. I was not well at all & can not handle the birthing process as a spectator or supporter.

I didn't mean to miss my girl's originally but I'm glad I did. I won't be there again if i can at all help it but am more than happy to be right at the door waiting for the end! My wife said she'd prefer me not to be there too if I'm just going to stress out & spew everywhere so everyones happy!

Needless to say. I'd be playing!

When it all comes down to it, there is NOT a right or wrong answer and our opinions are just that.
It is really up to PJ and it is his business.
If he chooses one or the other he shouldn't be critiscised either way

you are missing the point hellsy my question wasn't about what PJ should do as you rightly say thats none of our business i was just asking hypothetically if it was your decision which would you choose
