Just wondering if you guys could give me some more information about Stuart Flanagan
Have just herd a whisper that he was offered to the raiders, and we've been all to happy to accept him. He's apparently a raider for 2009.
We herd this rumor a few weeks ago, but now we've had someone post on another forum that he's signed on, nothing official, so could be bullsh*t

how do you guys rate him?

he is a very good rake, and would handle first grade well, he just has the problem of being stuck behind Farah. Probably better than 5-6 of the current hookers in the NRL.

Stu Flanagan will prove himself to be one of the best hookers in the gaqme once he establishes himself in a first grade side. He and Hinchcliffe would compliment each other very well, Hicnchcliffe is very tough and uncompromising, Flanagan is a great dummy half runner with good creativeness. Linclon Withers tries his heart out, but he`s not in the same class as either Flanagan or Hinchcliffe for mine.

Withers is our best hooker on the books right now which says alot about our depth in that area, if Flanagan has signed, there is a real chance he can get infront of Linc and establish himself

im willing to bet Hinchcliffe will not be re-signed at the end of 09. He's tough, he can pass well enough, but he cant kick out of hooker, he cant create out of hooker, hes not quick enough to make yards out of hooker, he's honestly a back rower trying to play hooker.

Flanagan is class .. makes sense for Canberra to sign him given he's a Cooma boy
Put it this way he is/was rated ahead of De Gois who did very well at Cronulla
If Flanagan goes no one could begrudge him as he has to move on .. he's just unfortunate he is behind a legend like Farah
Ronald is probably negotiating a swap .. Flanagan for Thurling or Tilse or Jason Williams or some other nuffy

BTW Tilse and Thurling are far from nuffies, tilse in particualar is going to be a top line front rower in a year or so. Jury still out on Trev but i like him, good argo, hard runner, great offload
