I don't think head would even be in their top 20 worst buys .. at least head has talent
Unlike the likes of sattler, graham, harris etc
Its pretty silly to have to buy two players for the one position purely because the first buy won't be able to play.

Why didn't he get put through a strenuous physical prior to signing on the dotted line?

He did apparently have to pass a fitness test before signing, whether that was PR or what- seems like it, who knows, I know from that I assumed he'd be ready to go, though now it seems an almost f**kt Head as opposed to a totally f**kt Head was where the line was drawn.

We hear hes not doing much at training, I saw some footage on 10 news at the iron man thing, he seemed to be just watching from under a tree, though in the footage on FOX summertime he looked real sharp running the ball.

I'd rather him start late and be right all season  than him be pushed back onfield too soon like others we know of, come a cropper and be back on the injured list.

I admit I was one of many who were excited when we signed Head. But in the back of my mind was always - why is someone potentially this good, still on the market. Seems like it was too good to be true. Ah well, we don't exactly have the best record picking up established players, seems like we either bring them up through the grades -Lawrence etc or get lucky Marshall, Teo, Tuiaki etc

My thoughts on Heads fitness are not based on any info and maybe Iam way off the mark, its just a gut feeling but if he really is on a small contract he will be worth it just as a mentor for all the young no7 at the club

Alternatively .. Head in a wheelchair, on crutches, blindfolded, pissed and on a coke binge would still be a better option than that parramatta turd coach shines referred to as `our cooper cronk'

I had the same idea, actually (yeah, it's okay to say that AFTER someone else has already posted it) I wondered if he wasn't/couldn't be useful mentoring the other younger halfbacks. I did see Ryan O Hara doing a bit of 'geeing up' the other forwards during a soggy game of PL one day, and thought, well at least we're getting 50 bucks of our contract out of him today.

But you wonder if you can build that sort of club loyalty thing straight away with someone. Head's had abuot three jerseys in twelve months and whether he's willing to put in with the younger players in a place, if he's wondering if he'll even be there, I don't know.

I hope he comes good, and can even just play on half a leg, because I think we'll be a much better team with him. Shame to lose Flanagan, but can't let him languish behind Farah forever, just the way it goes.

Yeah I bet he wished he'd never made the comparison. Morris seems to try hard enough but what he's doing is nothing special. I thought he was a halfback, though, and left Newcastle because he couldn't get a go behind Johns (who may have been pissed or on a coke binge himself).

I also thought Mr Sheen was going to try Flanagan at half

Morris was a winger/utility/backup hooker at Newcastle
Smith played him at 5/8 at Parra
Supercoach Tom Shines signed him for 3 yrs to play halfback to replace a Churchill medal winner
You could not make it up

Do you reckon Supercoach was going on his...there are no numbers on anyone's backs, theory? I mean, how he puts wingers in the backrow, and centres in the backrow, and wingers at five eighth, and Whatuira at five eighth. So he thought - how bad can it be, putting the backup hooker to half.

Is that his winning percentage? Wow. Give sme a nightmare thinking about that joined with Royce's winning percentage. Makes sense of why he got the contract upgrade and we still can't get Benji to sign
