Peter Wynn was injured most of that season and did play the GF...but he had played for the Eels for several years beforehand.

Unless this is the beginning (or end) of a dodgy joke, I don't believe a Parra player made their debut in the 1983 Grand Final.
Graham Wynn made his first run on start but was an interchange player in 5 other matches.
Well there you go. I did not know that.It was the EASTERN SUBURBS MILITARY COMMAND BAND...played for both Parra and Manly. Replaced the NAVAL BAND which was usually the first choice entertainment for Grand Finals....
