Jason Taylor has a hide putting his hand up coaching first grade again.

James Hooper says he doubts Jason Taylor will get another head coaching position. He did suggest though he thought Neil Henry would, whether clubs feel he's been hard done by or he is viewed as a smart tactician I'm not sure.

Neil Henry is like Matthew Elliot. Doesn't have much coaching ability but on the back of a couple of good years here and there continues to get jobs.

I think you're right. Also Henry along with Michael Hagen as assistants for QLD were viewed by insiders as the brains behind the operation during Mal Meninga's tenure also probably has helped him.

The Titans are hardly a club that needs "saving".
Sure, they aren't in the top 8, they've just sacked their coach, and there are rumours of player unrest, and underperforming star and their forwards are plodding turnstyles. However, it's not like they've completely bottomed out, they haven't won multiple spoons, they have had 1 bad season. Just 1. Lots of clubs have bad seasons, lots of clubs sack coaches and lots of clubs have roster issues. They don't all need saving. Saving suggests that the club is about to completely implode, or never get up again. I find both of these scenarios a little far from the mark.

They already have some good players in key positions. They just need a few minor tweaks to their roster, a better game plan and some better player management, and they'll be on the way up again. Nothing so drastic as needing to be saved.

What's going on on the field is one thing and is often cyclical so no panic needed. Off the field is far more concerning and likely to lead a club to ruin. Titans have been losing millions a year, they have just lost another main sponsor (with little explanation why in a three year contract they can and have bailed after the first year), their fan base has dwindled to levels that again are significantly financially impacting and to top it off they are being run by the nrl who can't run themselves very well! Hopefully who ever ends up owning them has deep pockets and a good strategy for dragging them out of their current mess.

Any team with Slater, Lockyer, Smith, Inglis etc wouldn't be hard to coach. Meninga was a failed club coach and Hagan was useless without Johns.

Fletch and Hindy

They've done a great job with the Nepal donkeys
Fletch & Hiney would be saving themselves for the Perth coaching stint. The people of W.A. would greatly benefit from their much anticipated hi-larious slapstick comedy routines, and their delerious take on modern life.

Barret isn't the reason for Manly tanking. Their $50 million half is either playing unfit or his head isn't in the game.
He came with a poor pedigree taking your vaunted as f**k juniors to ninff

He allowed himself to be bitchslapped by Nathan Brown without repercussion

His team has a shit attitude towards defense, DCE can't score enough points to win when we tackle like an under 20s outfit

Blaming DCE is hilarious when he's in the top 5 defenders in the team, he alone cannot be the reason for having 90 points put on you in 2 weeks

Trent Barrett, the biggest cuck of a coach in living memory, may he take over from Hook next year, or Des or any other merkin who can't coach

Where's Phil Economidis these days?? He'd be good....

Can you imagine Jason Taylor sitting at his laptop at home, drafting his CV.... his missus walk in and asks him what he's doing.... he quickly hits Alt-Tab on the keyboard to change windows so she can't see what he's up to....

JT Wife - "Sweetheart.... did I just see what I think I just saw? You're not seriously thinking of applying for the Titans coaching job are you?"
JT - "well.... maybe..... thought I might hon"
Wife - "FFS JASON!! I've only just started going back to the shops without a burqa on and showing my face in public again. YOU ARE NOT f**kING APPLYING FOR THAT JOB - YOU GOT THAT?"
JT - "yes ma'am"
Wife - "Delete the CV - I'm not leaving until you do"
JT - "Done darl.... Sorry....... you can wear the strap on tonight if you like..... teach me a lesson?"

The Walker Bros are good.

Good at coaching a Qld Cup team to a one off premiership because the team was stacked with talent.

Don't get me wrong, I like their style. But they got the perfect storm of some talented players in a weak comp along with the fact nobody had time to coach against it as it was first season.

They would win a wooden spoon in the NRL. (In my humble opinion of course)

Lol

Yeah DCE is the reason players are dropping off tackles and forwards are going missing.

Keep drinking the LU Kool Aid......

Hadn't they been coaching the Jets since 2011, taking them to the finals every season before their premiership year?

You could be right.

I had a conversation with a mate who said it was their first year and did not bother to fact check.

You could be 100% correct.
