Brown and Sika are certainties. Latimore is solid so maybe you'll keep him. Has Murdoch-Masila even played first grade for you guys?

Brown would be clearly first priority. Id take Latimore after that. BMM and Abderson really need a stint in first grade to make a call. They are both capable of being good first graders but need some time in a team which isnt drowning in injury to prove it. The rest Im not fussed.

Got some games at the back end of last season and was solid. I daresay he would of got a game or two this year had it not been for his injury. I'd re-sign I think he has shown some promise.

No idea what the market thinks Sika or Brown are worth, or what we are paying them.

Yeah its to know whether to keep some of them or not without knowing what its going to cost and what room we have to play with.

Has there been any talk about the future of any of these guys? I've heard none, isn't that strange? Does it mean we're talking with them and the club and players are happy to keep it behind closed doors for now? That would indicate to me the club wants them and they want to stay, more so for the guys that would obviously attract interest elsewhere.

We need to continue the elder statesman role within the club,so if guys are happy to play reggies and help develop young guys with development then all should be good for our future.

The great man is retiring at the end of the year. If he were to decide to go around again I would be happy if it was with us.

So would I, he proved yesterday he can still play very well at NRL level and would be a great role model for our young blokes.

If Simmo is prepared to play reserves i would definitely keep him.

He was interviewed before the NSW cup game last week. Said he might play on in NSW Cup next year.

Brown & Latimore are the only 2 I would keep. The rest are no better then others we have coming through & we need to get them in the squad somewhere. Start with the fringe players

I assume above is correct.

Keep Brown & Latimore at least.
See how Sika, BMM, and Docker if he ever comes back goes.

Thoughts.

I would be keeping Anderson,Latimore,Brown and BMM.

To compete in the future we need to be giving Anderson and BMM a decent stint in first grade to see how they go. Both played in the last few rounds last year and in the final against the Roosters and both were up to the mark.
Anderson has just been selected in the NSW Representative team to play QLD for his third year in a row and tops the stats every year but only gets used when injuries have ravaged the team. He played the touted "Wrecking Ball" Luke Page last weekend and absolutely owned him. He's still only just 24 yrs old and would give our club many years of service if given a chance.
BMM has the skills and mongrol to terrorise teams on the edge.

I think a pack of :
McHendry
Segs
Anderson
Brown
Cartwright
Taylor
And a bench of:
BMM
Peachey
RCG
Lats

Would be a great base for us next year with others like Saunders,Smith,Coates and Docker to fill in if needed.
IMO

We keep hearing how our forwards aren't tough enough or strong enough.
Our problem is that we[management] keep sticking with the same players week in week out regardless of their form. McHendry has had maybe 2 decent games this year, Kite the same and Plummy is retiring at the end of this season.

BMM has the skills and mongrol to terrorise teams on the edge as Manu USED to but doesn't do anymore. He is big Strong and has great hands and footwork. He only lacks a bit of fitness and can be a bit prone to injury but has never let us down.

Don't forget Trent Merrin

The good thing about having an Anderson or Merrin in the side who can play huge minutes is we may be able to afford to carry Api on the bench eventually which would be perfect. Latimore, Plum and RCG are going ok at the moment. I'd be tempted to drop Mckendry for a few weeks to give Anderson a run and put a massive rocket up Sam's ass. He has been average since he did his back almost 2 years ago.

I wonder whether the neck injury Sam sustained means he will never be as good as he once was.
