GO THE VIKINGS!

And isnt it great to see the mighty minnesota vikings signing the absolute cream of the NFL crop:

Thats right, Nate Burleson, a new vikings receiver - and doesnt he look big and mean  , good to see the vikings are continuing their efforts at promoting the game to young, short, skinny kids who will fall over if the wind blows hard enough.

You have all been talking bout the rivalry between the Raiders and the Broncos (my second team), but what about the rivalry between the Raiders and the 9ers?

My team is the 9ers and the ppl of the bay area have a huge grudge against each other. In my gridiron team we have an American who grew up in LA, on the wrong side of the bay I might add, and he is a huge Raiders fan. We always get in arguments about who is better. He has explained that the grudge is to do with the 9ers being the rich ppl (like the Roosters fans are all rich latte drinkers:p) and the Raiders are the less well off sort.

It is always a great game and one I will look forward too.

Bring on the season I say!!!!!

Who is your team?

The Newcastle Uni Thunder. We dont have a full squad yet, but we are hoping to be there for 2005. We are planning to train for 2 years and then enter the NSW State league, we wanna be competitve so we need the time to train. Its a tough game to play and I am learning alot. I have only been playing for 2 months.

Thought you might have been a N.U.T. I played against them up there 2 years ago in their last season & damn i HATE the drive. Good luck in getting a team together, the bigger the comp the more fun. Might see you out there next year... ;-)

PS: Be sure & tell any of the veterans to teach the rookies just how hard to hate the Outlaws...

I am sure I will learn to hate all opposition. I think it would be easier to hit an opposition player, alot easier than hurting someone you know. That has been my biggest problem with my game at the moment. I dont wanna hurt my own team mates.

Oh well, we will get there. U hate the drive, we will have to drive to Sydney every second weekend, so other teams coming here shouldnt be that big a problem should it? :D

I have been a Buffalo Bills fan for many years now....enjoyed watching the likes of Kelly, Thomas, Reed, Bruce Smith and co in the early 90's....and who can forget the great Buffalo dominace of the AFC between 89-93...4 straight Super bowls.....pitty we didn't win one but that's beside the point!!

I must say the coverage of the NFL in Australia is adyssmal....30 minute's a week with Ed "look at the moves" wyatt ( i think that's his name??) on the SBS isn't good enough!!......bring back Don Lane!!

IM only 19 so I never got the chance to see old Donny boy talking about the NFL, and i always miss Wyatt's Touchdown show because I am at work.

The coverage is abysmal though, its fair enough though in many regards considering how very few people actually like or would devote a second of interest to gridiron in Australia.

No there is a pretty strong contingent of NFL fans in Australia....quiet a few sides aswell!!

The Don Lane show was very popular and very comprehensive where they'd show all the highlights and 1 or even 2 games aswell voted in by the viewers bloody great it was.....it wen't to Ch 9 with Eddie Mc Guire for a while then disappered??

Believe me Buffalo where a great side in the early 90's!!!!!!...4 straight Superbowls!!
