Who has the wood on who?

I have been thinking about teams who seem to have the wood on other teams overall and in big games.

I know the broncos and Parra seem to have the wood on the Dragons, but we do seem have the wood on the roosters, sharks, knights, and bulldogs in the big games. This may be confused with my optimism but we always seem to do ok aginst these teams.

I would be interested to hear other supporters views on this subject.

Saints and Wests Tigers have the wood on Canberra. The Warriors have the wood on the dogs. Parra have it on Brisbane and Saints. Brisbane have it on Saints and North Qld. North Qld have it on Saints in North Qld. Wests Tigers also have the wood on the Warriors. Melbourne have it on Brisbane to a certain extent.There are more but I can't think of any at this stage.

west tigers have the wood on the warriors.

storm have the wood on manly/eagles,i can't recall losing a game to them,saints are another bunny team for us,cowboys are pickings as well.

Saints have definitely got the wood on the Raiders.
The trend started years ago when we beat them with only 12 men at Bruce Stadium.
(I recall that Andrew Walker, in his first match was sent off for head high during one of those stupid crackdowns).
It's funny how things like that will start a pattern.

Yes, it's true that the Broncos have the wood on Saints. I put that down to the 1993 Grand Final. The one we should have won. The Broncos shattered us that year and it's been a long road back.
But all that's about toturn around next Sunday...

Souths were never beaten by University in 18 seasons (1920 - 1937) that they were in the comp. The students managed only one draw against us. That most be close to the most one sided streak over a long period.
Of course looking at current form, News Ltd beat us in our first two encounters but we won the big one!

Poor old University. They were the comp's battlers for years. I think they hold the record for the longest losing steak... I'd have to double check but I think it's about 2 and a half years.

Yes Willow University went 42 games without a win.
From 28-4-1934 to 22-8-1936.

Brisbane have yet to lose a game against North Qld so I'd say the Broncos definitely have the wood on their northern cousins.
