I hope Simmo gets 1st crack at it. After that it is up to him. I'm very hopeful that all of our players will be developed better under Ricky and his team. The best scenario for us is that all of these guys will be challenging for 1st grade.

I'm with Ima and Inferno, I'd love to see Cov have a go at fullback. Dustin Cooper has also played at fullback, is big too. Haven't seen him in action though so can't comment on ability.

Is covell as slow as he makes out ?

He is bloody cool under the high ball, he would probably go good there.

Will Covell make FG under Sticks?

I hope he does but it's not a certainty. Hannay kicks goals.

He's definately not the fastest, but to be honest thats more important on the wings than fullback anyway. Lockyer was definately not the fastest fullback going around(albeit still quicker than Covell), but it was never a hinderance to him.

Got a good footballing brain, and is easily the most creative out of our back 3 as far as setting up tries. Played his junior footy at Halfback, believe it or not.

Also had good games the last couple of years against the chooks as well. Scored a a few tries against them, and kicked 9/9 against them as well. I think of our back 3 he is probably the best chance of being in the starting side.

We know stickys game will revolve heavily on a hard hitting runner with strong leg drive to break through the defensive line, so who will be most likely to get the gig?

That's funny I seem to remember Simmons scoring two trys from nothing against the Tigers & Raiders with strong leg drive.

Whether it be Wing or Fullback Simmons will be in First Grade.
He's also the safest player under the high ball.

I agree that Simmons is also probably best under the high ball but still is very lacking with kick returns. probably still out best option at Fullback at this moment.

A scorching 75 game statistic that must lead to compulsory selection!!

Simmons first crack, then Brown.

Hopefully Brown will develop quickly like Foley has at the Roosters.

Alby and Toshy? Keep em away from first grade.
