With this Rugby League sprint in mind.... who are our quickest?

In last years Origin Hayne burned Slater like he wasn't there and was carrying the ball at the time, which impressed me.

And young Eric in full flight, I would imagine, could post a pretty good time.

Anybody in the know on this?

Mannah ran down Dugan in C V C so he would have to be our quickest forward.
Backs it would most likely be Hayne

Hayne isn't that fast, more agile and explosive off the mark. He got run down by Tony Williams with a decent head start in round 2.

yeah, Hayne is definately more explosive. You don't see him score many tries after line breaks in his own half.

Luke Burt is exetremely quick.

Everyone always states that Fui is the fastest over 20 metres also.

lol

Dugan (after he went through Mannah like he wasnt there) slowed down cause of other defenders approaching. Credit to Mannah for trying to rectify his massive blunder though

Read somewhere (not in this thread) Moi Moi is our fastest forward

i'd say eric would be fastest once he gets going .... tahu and burt are quick with good acceleration .... hayne baffles me - sometimes he burns ppl, other times he gets run down - but I reckon the others would be quicker .... humble - looks pretty fast from that qld cup footage - lets see him do it in a NRL game

Burt and Reddy are the fastest off the mark (lots of acceleration) but both would get run down over 100. I would go maybe Tahu/Inu, Grothe has lost a few yards.

Humble looked quick but that may be an optical illusion.

In terms of the event, I think they should have heats within the teams with the fastest 8 going into the finals. Say two per team, that's 32 runners (4 heats). Make it a real event.

They could even have a public choice, props race. We nominate the 8 to run.

That would make it a great spectacle with plenty of interest. Imagine watching Weyman, Moi Moi and Snowden, funniest race ever.

Humble would burn anyone at our club over 100m - if he gets into open space tomorrow night, he won't be caught.

if anyone saw the try he scored against the Bears a few weeks ago, you would of seen him pick up the ball in his own in goal and by the time he was on the the fifty metre line, the bears players began to turn around and chase..

Leaving Humble out of the equation as he wasn't around last year - there was results posted either in here or in one of the League mags last season that had Eric as fastest over the 100m, with Burty coming in behind him.

Fuifui is like 3rd fastest in the club over 40 metres, obviously not 100 though. Grothe and Tahu in full flight look a lot quicker than Hayne... Hayne is more agile though and can accelerate like no-one else.
