I'd say the strength training and his added size might disagree with you. Sure sprinters peak in the 20s but Hayne isn't a sprinter whereas he was probably better built for it at high school.

Bingo, sprinters may peak in their early 20's

but Hayne isn't built as a sprinter also he would have bumps and bruises that sprinters don't.

and you (2150_souLJA) are the fool giving it to others for not knowing about sprinters.

There's a difference flatch - you can have a frustrating player (IE: Chris Quinn anyone??), but every time he plays i'mma still gunna support him!

Jarryd ran a 11 second 100 at Westfields sports high. And a sprinters peak would be early 20s, so theres no way Jarryd is running slower than a 11 second hundre now.

And you lot think Grothe and (LMAO) Moimoi can beat that?

Hayne was what - 10, 20kg lighter in high school?

As for Fui - over t a 40 m sprint, I'd have my money on Fui no worries. He has EXPLOSIVE acceleration.

As for the topic at hand, I'm going to nominate Burty. That try he scored against Souths showed just how much pace he has. Yes, I know Wesser screwed up - but the fact is Burty sprinted 50 metres and, even if Wesser hadn't screwed up, he would have been the first man to make the tackle. Lightning.

Burt is quick.

I think Grothe has always been quicker though

Hayne is deceptively quick - his running style makes him look slow. He made Patten look stupid vs the Doggies.

Tahu is also quite express.

Reddy no slouch

Then there's Mortimer, who also has some toe, and KK is no slouch either. Our backs have overall good speed!

I'd nominate Grothe - when in full flight he is genuinely FAST.

I am under the impression that the same thing applies to both Grothe's, Senior and Junior, they only run as fast as they need to!

In a sprint Jnr wouldn't win because he doesn't care enough about petty garbage such as who is fastest in a foot race but on the field my money would be on Grothe every time!
