Who needs it more?

Dirk vs Lebron.

Who needs it more for their legacy?

Its been a heated debate on US radio the last 2-3 days.

Dirk is arguably the 2nd best ever foreign player to play in the NBA and is knocking on the door to be top 10-15 of all time.

But he is top 5 in those who are great but not yet to win a title.

Lebron is already regarded as top 5-10 of all time but yet to win a title. Does he need only one to solidify his status in the game? Or does he need multiple?

My take on it is that Age is on Lebron's side...he can still win multiple titles. Dirk needs to win this one because I don't think he'll have another opportunity with the Thunder & Grizzles looming in the West.

Bulls vs Heat looks like it'll be a fixture in the Eastern Conf for about the next 3-5 years. But given the fact that this will likely be the Heat's WORST year...and they will only get better...its a scary prospect.

So whats your take on it? Who needs this series more...not who you THINK will WIN it...but who NEEDS it.

I'd say Dirk needs it more. Window has just about closed for him to get a championship, I thought it had already closed tbh but he's been playing some great ball these playoffs.
Lebron will have more shots in the future I'm sure of it.

Rick Carlisle. The Mavs have been consistently 50+ winners during his time but the Mavs constantly choking in the first round stops him ever getting mentioned as one of the top coaches. He should still be at Indy

it's not about who needs it more. it's about who has to win. that's something they forget

the question is - who will sacrifice the gift?

If Dirk wins this with the supporting cast he has it'd be one of the greatest individual performances in NBA history IMO.

LeBron will have plenty more chances, and if it doesn't work out here he'll probably try and move on to the Bulls to team with Rose.

go dirk.

f**k the kids in miami who think that if they win this they've won a championship individually. wade is the only one who can claim that shit.

wade can't claim that. miami won in 06 with the mantra '15 strong'

let's play a game. it's called name 5 players better than dirk who haven't won a title

malone, stockton, barkley, lebron, bosh

easy

the fact so many people say lebron has ruined his legacy is a pretty clear indication he's going to leave a great one behind after he retires

what you should question, if anything, is his character. but if he has really upset you that much, you should probably begin to question your own

mantra maybe, but who owned the playoffs that year? every man and his dog knows that was his series.
true tbh

but what "kids in miami" do you think would claim these playoffs as an individual triumph? there hasn't even been a hint of that so far

I don't think there is a wrong answer.

No one's going to hold it against Dirk if he loses to this Miami team. To me what he's already done in these playoffs has raised his historical standing. Obviously winning a title with his team would hold his career in a different light.

But if Lebron loses? All hell will break lose. Now that's obviously offset by the fact that in all likelyhood the Heat will have chances to win rings in the coming years, but nothing's for certain.

Bosh better than Dirk.

So it isn't just Lebron's dick your sucking...you are having a three-way with Bosh too.

Very tough question.

I would say Dirk needs this series more, as you would think Miami will have more chances than Dallas over the next few years to win i. Although for Dirk one title with this Mavs team where he is clearly 'The Man' will set his legacy, LeBron needs four (at a minimum imo) as he will be forever be compared to Jordan. I don't know if Lebron can afford to let title chances slip if he wants to come out on par with that aspect of the Jordan debate, so he may need it more.
