I'm a she........not a he.

And no........I'm not sensitive........I just don't like people being
rude to me for no reason, when I was actually just trying to be
friendly.

And thanks for making the effort eelsta, but don't worry about it.

I'd rather have no apology than a forced one.

I appreciate the sentiment though. :D :clap:

Apology for what exactly ?

It was a valid question and had valid repsonses.
The info was posted wrong and then corrected and the discussion moved around it !

So you call f**k OFF a valid response to a polite question ????.
Well, even though it could be construed as being downright rude, unneccessary and rather unfriendly, you must admit it is a valid response ;-)

well i think "the offensive remarks" that are being referred to.....

i simply thought that "Mighty Panther" was having a go at our beloved Captain Cayless and i responded in the only manner possible for committing such an offence.......

however, i realised it was not quite the situation and i offer a retraction of my words, but not my sentiment

and as Twizzle says i have copped a fair spray just for saying hello on some other club boards.....so sensitivity must regin supremem with some?????

anyway, i have owned up to this haneous crime and offered a retraction, but would do the same if someone else did the same again.....and another Penrith supporter did have me on edge ove the issue from another thread as they suggested that "if both Vella and Cayless had re-signed it was great news for every other club"

ok about Vella at the moment but leave Cayless out of such distasteful comments

Ahhh the clayton's apology...........the apology you make when you're not really making one.

Look.......I don't mind when people stand up for themselves when being attacked,
especially when there is no basis for the attack.

That is what I did............I stood up for myself.

I am obviously less rude and agro than most, because I never abuse opposition fans
at games or on forums, and rarely respond when others are attacking my team.

I tend to let most things go over my head, unlike a lot of others.

But when I knew that I was simply asking a question with no hidden meanings or
nasty intent, I won't allow others to attack me simply because they assume I'm
having a go.

It's obvious that you view all comments by opposing fans as automatic attacks on
your team, so therefore I will simply refrain from making any comments in the future.

See.........easy fixed.

Good luck against the Goosters.

Bye Bye.

To be fair, a lot of Penrith fans have been riding Cloud Nine for the last 18 months and feel it necessary to point out there superiority at every opportunity.

With you it was not the case. However, we all dearly love this club. And no matter who it is, someone always has something to say about it, and we take it to heart.

I don't believe I even made a comment towards you in that thread, thus I have nothing to apologise for.

But I do know my fellow posters, and I can say that it was simply a case of a misunderstanding under a gut-wrenching couple of seasons.

Opposition fans can rant and rave about how they've had it worse than us - fact is NOBODY can ever understand what it's like to be statistically one of the greatest teams in the sport EVER to this 2002-2004 incarnation. Nobody has had it like that.

Yes, a couple of years ago Penno were Spooners, and now they're the Premiers - however, they're not one of the greatest teams of all time, are they? Plus, you experienced a rise - we have all experienced a terrible, terribe low for 3 years now. Much stronger than anyone else's lows for the reasons I stated.

In conclusion, the comment was probably not warranted, but the tension caused by our club's performances in addition to other Panthers fans' taunting most likely lead to it.

Cheers mate.

I just have to laugh when some of my Souths- and Panthers-supporting mates give it to me, and then say, "Cheer up - we've had it worse."

Last I checked, in the past decade, neither Souths nor the Panthers were regarded as one of the greatest teams ever to play the sport.

So how do they have it worse?

we have gone form the best ever the best ever consistently mediocre (or worse)

its gut wrenching, but hey - there's always Parra supporter's' favourite phrase

"Oh well there is always next year"

and maybe, just ,aybe next year could be something very special for us?????

I agree that there are plenty of Penrith fans who have been acting superior and
arrogant, and you're right.........I'm NOT one of them.

But I have also put up with tons of taunts and insults over many many years from
Parra fans too, but I have not responded with insults or agro.

I have always done my best to respond with good humour wherever possible.

I know full well that my team could just as easily end up back down the bottom
of the ladder again.........anything's possible, but I'm enjoying the ride while it
lasts. I'd be mad if I didn't.

And if there are Penrith fans who are being rude to you, then go right ahead and
treat them however you please, but don't automatically treat all their fans the same way.

I don't. Take two seconds to read a post properly, and treat each comment on it's
merits, and there would be a whole lot less agro and a whole lot less misunderstandings.

BTW........Good luck again against the Goosters. I hope you kick their butts.

And you can...........anything's possible.

Oh I agree 100% mate.

And I know we say it every year, but next year looks so good it's not funny:

* Great talent

* Great Juniors

* New coaching staff

* New coaching direction.

Sharp, Anderson and Smith working together as coaches, together with the likes of Dan Backo, the Perenara Brothers, Tahu, Morrison, Riddell, Tim and Ben SMith, Feleti Mateo, etc.

It looks to be a wonderful year for us.
