I'm in Ward C. Vote for Matt Daniel and any other Liberals that run. Just don't vote for Tracie Sonda!

McSharkie I'm pretty sure Matt Daniel is not standing. A shame, as we was probably the most pro our cause when I attended a couple of meetings a few years back. Which reminds me that the Liberals were generally more in favour of helping us, and Labour was generally more against us. Whether this has all changed I don't know. I think we need to research it, maybe even contact the club and see who they suggest voting for.

A little bit off topic.

But as some of you may know, Australand owns the kurnell sand dunes, and as of about 2 months ago, the council approved their DA for a fairly large portion of them. So imo, if the council is going to approve that shite, then they have no excuse to keep putting off approving the clubs development ap.
No offence cheese, but that's simply not right. I don't want to go too OT either, but the council have been fighting against the Australand development at every stage. The approval Australand got was a victory over the council in the Land and Environment Court for an industrial development:

I am voting Labor PJ, but only because I know the specifics of the candidate and her support for the Sharks. It's a one off.

But as I said, when in doubt vote Liberal.

Does anyone know where a list of candidates from each ward are located. BTW the idea to get the clubs opinion is a ripper.

Yea, sorry i was a bit vague blinka. I know all about it though. My old man is the project manager.

My point was, if a monstrosity like that can be cleared, i cant see why our development couldnt go ahead. I dont know if they are, but it seems like the club is sitting on their hands, they should be pushing harder and exploring avenues, including legal ones, as australand did.

Generally speaking, the Liberal candidates are PRO-Shark development and the Labor and Shire Watch are ANTI-Shark development. I attended two council meetings on the matter and that was roughly the split.
Yes, Sullyfan. Daniel is pro-Shark. The loudest voice against the Sharks was Spencer.

Get rid of that nut Spencer, along with his friend Phil Smith/Blight/whatever it is, and vote Liberal. Put ShireWatch and the ALP wankers last and Liberals first.

That's right, Tama. Robert Spencer of Shire Watch Independents was the most vocal of the ANTI-Shark Development Group. DON'T vote for him if you support the Sharks.
Yep, at the council meetings I attended the Liberal Councillors spoke FOR the Sharks Development application while the Labor and Shire Watch Independents were ANTI-Shark.

I didn't have a chance to find out any more recent developments, so I guess I will vote Liberal as well. (Which will be a first for me)

From the Sun Herald, the Liberals are going to be in charge of the council, and Tracie Sonda lost her seat.

Good news for the Sharks, but bad news for the Shire. With Kevin 'Meriton' Schreiber and Kent 'Rockdale Council' Johns in charge, here comes the slums...

It shows deceitful advertising works. Schreiber and the Liberals being elected on a platform of stopping overdevelopment is an absolute joke!

Good news for the Sharks Development, but hopefully this Johns bloke doesn't turn Sutho into a degenerate slum, ala Kogarah/Hurstville. Land prices in the Shire are too expensive anyway one would imagine for that to happen.

Develop the Kurnell sand dunes? What a bloody disgrace. Haven't they been decimated enough by fricking sand mining? An environmental tragedy.
