PJ Marsh, shouldn't be leading with the elbow, even though it hit the shoulder of Barrett first, it didn't stop much force and he copped it across the face. I'm sure many players would react in a similar fashion, perhaps not hitting him from behind, but if Marsh didn't make contact like he didnt, there wouldn't have been any fighting.

It was a spur of the moment thing and obviously Trent Barrett saw a elbow coming his way or he wouldn't have reacted how he did. I'm still not convinced that there was no contact with his head either. There is no conclusive replay showing the contact that we saw, but in some of the replays (like the camera angle behind Barrett) it looks like his head bounces back just when Marsh's elbow passes his face, which could indicate some contact.

PJ Marsh came in with a blatant and intentional elbow to the head. And Barrett overreacted with a couple of blind-sided cheap shots.

Then, Cayless was the third man in - something Finch got binned and suspended for - so all in all it should have been a penalty to the Dragons.

what did you expect, for the captain to just stand there and watch someone cheapshot a team mate?

not only once but THREE times.

also the last punch got marsh in the temple.....if barret had got a hard enough punch on him marsh could have been knocked out or even killed. barret had plenty of time to stop ...but he continued on like a thug he is

Knock him out? Kill him?

thats why i said "if he had got a hard enough punch on him" ...if it were someone who could throw them i bet marsh would have been knocked out.
