Who was the last player to really kick on at the eels?

Just to switch things up a bit i thought i'd think about something more positive than us in a cripple fight with the freaking dogs for the spoon

there are tons of players who came across to parra and their careers have nosedived: foran, sandow, watmough etc etc etc

but who was the last player who was a fringe first grader at their previous club who turned into a real standout at the eels?

I guess you can’t say NYC is fringe first grader material but Alvaro played for the Broncos in 2011-12 and then came to us in 2013. As far as development and improvement goes though, he’s a success story.

It’s a similar story with Semi who also arrived in 2012 from Fijian rugby.

Fui fui was truely a nobody who went on to be best at his position

Not sure if you would class him a fringe first grader, but in his 45 games for Souths before joining us, Peats had only made the starting 13 a total of 11 times and only 9 of those as hooker.

This is rough.
He has had two excellent seasons for us where he has over achieved relative to our expectations. This season what could he do to drag this sorry crew around. The team was a dumpster fire before he got back from injury. I am looking forward to him playing a season injury free next season.
