This race is just as hot as the one for 8th.

I started a thread last week asking the question, but I very foolishly left out the Storm. So here is the "amended" one...

Here's the run home:

4. Panthers 32 (v Broncos @ Penrith)
5. Dragons 30 (bye)
6. Storm 30 (v Manly @ Brookvale)

Who will get that very valuable home final?

I think the Panthers can get over the Broncos on Friday night, and nail it. ;-)

I can see the Storm beating Manly by 40 points.

But i'll go the Dragon's... Panthers to be 6th

Hopefully Panthers finish 4th but if we do finish 6th and it can happen unfortunately.. we will play the Broncos 2 weeks in a row!

Scenarios next week:
1.Brisbane win and Melbourne beat Manly by more than 40

2.Brisbane win and Melbourne beat Manly by less than 40

3,Brisbane win and Manly beat Melbourne

4.Penrith win and Melbourne beat Manly by more than 40

5.Penrith win and Melbourne beat Manly by less than 40

6.Penirth win and Manly beat Melbourne

Outcomes:
1.Melbourne finish 4th, Saints 5th, Penrith 6th, We play Melbourne at Olympic Park

2.Saints 4th, Melbourne 5th, Penrith 6th, We play Melbourne at Home

3.Saints 4th, Penrith 5th, Melbourne 6th, We play Penrith at home

4.Penrith 4th, Melbourne 5th, Saints 6th, We play Brisbane at Suncorp

5.Penrith 4th, Saints 5th, Melbourne 6th, We play Penrith at Penrith Park

6.Penrith 4th, Saints 5th, Melbourne 6th, We play Penrith at Penrith Park

They are all the possibilities barring draws. If either of those games ends up a draw we get 4th.

I am hoping for Outcome 3 but I would not be scared of Outcome 4 either.

so if penrith win, they get 4th. if they lose, they don't.

Yes because Dragons have the bye so they definately will be on 32 points as Penrith are now and have a far better for and against than Penrith do.

Penrith will be 4th. If Brisbane were smart, they'd drop this weeks game so they wouldn't have to verse the Panthers in the first week of the finals.

IMO, the Panthers are more of a premiership threat then the Storm or Dragons.

Poor QLD Rabbit..............it must be a deadset tragedy for your side to not only be nowhere near the reckoning but a complete waste of breath to even be in the competition. The quicker they piss the Rabbits off to the Gold or Central coast the better.....Saying that even then they'd suk BIG time.

I can see Melbourne ripping into Manly and putting 40+ on them, even at brookie. And Brisbane can and will, in my opinion, beat Penrith this Friday night. Nothing brings out the best in Brisbane than adversity, and they'll be wanting to bury the memories of last year at Penrith when they were bundled out of the finals.

It certainly makes for an interesting weekend of footy.

Chook.

Penrith should beat the Broncos at Penrith Park.

I actually tipped a Broncos/Doggies GF, so if Penrith lose twice to the Broncs, my prediction could still come to fruition.

Lets start a poll about who gives a f*ck.

Mate, just because you are heading towards another wooden spoon* doesn't mean you dont have to not care about the finals.

The Storm 4th would be good for the game. I can't see Brisbane winning however.

*Yes, i am a Warriors supporter. We are co wooden spooners. So there is no point harassing me about it.

Won't it be good to have a finals series where we don't have to worry about our team?

Go Doggies (after Sunday)

I have some teams I like that aren't in the finals. I cheered for the Warriors in the 2002 finals and it's been sad to see them be so shit this year. But I think they'll bounce back next year to the top eight with Price and Wiki.

I would love to see Melbourne clinch the 4th spot and bring the quater finals to Olympic Park for a Primetime Friday night game. The crowds there may be interesting. :D

However, i think that Panthers will be the ones to win at home against a Brisbane side with nothing to play for while the Panthers are playing for the 4th spot and a home ground advantage.
