Maybe if the Ind directors drop their legal action against News, then News will sell it to them. If they don't then why the f would they? I mean you dont do favours to people whoa re trying to destroy you.

But there will be plenty of interests in buying the property. Worst house, best street. etc

The Jaycar bloke wanted to buy the Storm once upon a time.

News Ltd want to sell it. The current directors want to buy it. News doesn't want them to have it.

When the NRL grant matches the salary cap, owning a league team could be actually profitable.

So, who will be the owners?

John Ribot. Connected. Driven. Point to prove. Experience with league and Melbourne.

Or

John Singleton. League mad. Cashed up bogan. Needs a vehicle to promote his new melbourne radio Station. Would be able to claim drinking with Roy as a Tax Deduction.

Any others?

As a matter of interest here are the Pay TV Ratings for the Storm this year.

(10 games so far)

(000s)
257
227
220
203
312
196
212
260
218
296
2401 Total

By way of comparison the aggregate Pay TV Ratings (in Australia) for all the Australian RU teams combined for the season just finished was:

Weeks 1 thru 14 -includes a split round)
(000s)
334
237
252
385
313 (NRL starts)
133
180(AFL starts)
245
239
260
280
185
242
265

3550 Total

So once again the Storm's Pay TV Ratings are on track to beat the Super 14 pay TV ratings of all the Australian teams combined.

(Note 6 Storm games have been shown on FTA & haven't been counted here:)

These ratings can be got from the TV Ratings' Thread on TFC forum or
