Its usually the guys that can create tries ut of absolute nothing that top the tally but alot depends on the hw the side is going. Merritt racked up some hat tricks and a 5 haul in a purple patch of rounds mainly by just following up the middle of the field as sandow, luke and co tore up the middle. Uate will miss a few games for origin so that might put him out of the race and the beast hasn't been able to be on the field for a full season for awhile now. I cant see the panthers having alot of sting in attack this year i dont think it will be coote or gordon. Could a dozen names int the hat and still get it wrong.

Chris Lawrence - those saying uate I think with no McDougall and with the boring Bennett play he will be no where near it and Merritt without sandow willstruggle

Thats one reason I think Vatuvei could be on- he gets Ropati back inside him who was the guy feeding him in his best seasons, plus we have a settled halves combo+ Locke and Mateo to create chances.

Knights play with flair and ball movement. I don't think they will play like the Dragons, just like the Dragons didn't play like the Broncos.

I think Uate or Barba will be leading try scorer.

If Bluey McLennan keeps Inu on the field for the Warriors, he could be a chance.
Had an awesome first half of the year try-wise prior to being "put on the mat" by Ivan Cleary, and ended up with the same number of tries as The Beast (with around the same gametime I think) and could've been top try-scorer if he didn't poke his tongue out against Rabbitohs that one time!

It has to be Dave Mead. To score 16 tries for the wooden spooners, in a team that cant distribute the ball past the second row is an impressive feat. He and Gordon (once back up to speed) will have a good year for the titans.

Bluey has indicated Inu will be at centre though afaik, he got most of those on the wing.
