As Billy is/was the best fullback to play the game the 1 jersey should never be worn again in the NRL as a mark of respect.
Same with the 9 jersey.

This idea is a stupid American one
Retiring a number - get f**king f**ked

Brad Fittler was great, get rid of the number 6 - he never would have worn 6 because someone else would have retired it years before

Our sport has had so many great players, all the numbers would have been retired by now and today's players would be running round with f**king emoji's on their backs, or badly drawn pictures of dicks.

Heard of sarcasm?

Can we add The General to the poll please?
You guys are so right.

The guy has to be a contender. What other fullback can lay claim to denying certain tries, even after retirement?

Since it was recently announced that Morgan Escare will not come to the NRL this season, it is now down to three players: Teddy, Tommy Turbo, and Kalin the Ponga.

After ten rounds who do you pick as Billy's successor?

Cameron Munster the Drunkard isn't fit to tie the bootlaces of the top three candidates whom I mentioned.
Seriously? Have you even watched Munster play? Tedesco sucks this year, Turbo has been up and down so far. Munster is playing way better then both of them and it’s not even close. As for Ponga, you can’t even spell his name right

If Plodesco can get away from the toxic Roosters environment, he might have a shot one day. As long as he stays in those colours, however, he will never reach his full potential.
