Which team has the best chance this year.

The Bulls will be busting to put together a good side after losing the grandfinal twice.

The Wildcats are splitting - so they might not be as good as last year.

The Northern Raiders could continue the trend of new teams winning.

The Sharks will continue the steady improvement.

The Knights have gone through a rebuilding phase and should be stronger this year.

The Slayers are the sleeping giants - if they get serious they could win.

Media could get their shit together now that the Vikings are also on board.

The Fight will keep up the proud red and green tradition and come last.

Roopy;

I think you are right on target on your picks. The competition is going to be the best it has ever been. I think people are writing of some teams. Let me give you some stuff I am hearing.

With the Viking and Manta rays merging into the Delaware Valley Manta rays they are going to be tough. I hear they have about 5 young Americans playing for them. Also herd they are going to have a foreign player coach. This player coach has played for a team that has faced the Tomahawks 4 or 5 times, and I believe he has been on every team. Has allot of experience and will bring a lot to the new young Manta rays.

Jeff Preston and another AMNRL player have been out recruiting like hell. From what I hear the Fight will be getting some new guys that have some union experience. They will be real tuff. Do not count them out before the season has started.

The Knights from what I hear have a few new young studs. Then add Matty, Christian, and Kazoo and if the Knights are healthy they are one of the best teams in the AMNRL. The question will be is how will Christian’s knee hold up. We will wait and see.

As for the Slayers and Sharks they are both the sleepers. One game both teams can be unstoppable. The next game they barley have enough players to suit up. If the numbers stay in the 17+, and the stay in good shape, watch out for these two sleepers.

As for the Northern Raider’s I don’t know that much about them. Have herd Patrick Kelley is going to be there play coach. That could be the best thing for them. However, I can tell you will hot dog on their team, they are marked already. Hot dog is not as liked as he may think.

The Wildcats everyone is after. They had a great season. They still will not admit they had 16 players on the field during last year’s championship, but its over. You know what guys there are too many people out there that saw it, so don’t even bother ok. They will have a solid team once again, but everyone wants to knock this hot team off its seat. The Knights could do it in week one.

As for the Bulls, the team Tomahawk will be playing for once again. Allot of people are writing us off from the very beginning. Just remember the Bulls have been in every AMNRL championship since the leagues beginning. The Bulls have some of the best players in the AMNRL. Some of them include Mains, Vassy, Hollinsworth, Woodbridge, Sherridan, Nui, Edwards, and many more. Also the Bulls are in contact with the Bulldogs once again this year. Expect the same thing as last year. Then there are a few other prospects. One being a professional Australian player, and another being a professional European player. I can also tell you Julian O’Neil wants to come and play in the AMNRL, and if Jules comes over he would most likely play for the Bulls. Jules is very good friends with several Bulls players. So don’t count the Bulls out just yet fella’s.

Will be an even better season this year then last. Expect some new faces, and some huge changes. The season is right around the corner. So lets get ready to rumble.

Wildcats for sure. Have recruited too well not to be competitive. Although they may lose a big name to another team. Not too sure yet but he will be a huge loss if he goes elsewhere.

That is a pretty bold statement to make. No doubt about it, last years Wildcats team was a great team. However, I don’t think it was in the top three all time AMNRL teams. That team was not better then the 2002 N.Y. Knights, or the 2000, 1999, or 1998 Bulls teams. I don’t know if you were in the AMNRL or a fan when the Bulls had Tim Griffens, Jeff Preston, Brian Warren, Dave Niu, Shayne Mains, Ed Woodbridge, and Mike Edwards to name a few.

I say that for a few reasons. First the Wildcats in my opinion will not be as good as a team this year as they were last. They are going to loose a few key players from the 2003 Wildcat team. Secondly, the AMNRL composition is going to be stacked this year. Lets break it down for you.

N.Y. if they were healthy in the 2003 playoffs would have beaten the Wildcats. Last year 1st year players will have some experience under their belts. Also with their new trainer they will be in the best shape. I think you are over looking them.

The Sharks are always a tuff team. Expect them to be the same this year. They want to win, and it is a matter of time until they win an AMNRL championship. They are sending players to play in Australia to get experience in Phil and Greg. Don’t count them out.

The Fight and Jeff are recruiting like hell. Expect the Fights numbers to be more then they ever were. You will see some people on this team surprise you, and turn a few heads. You could even see Jeff Preston pass the Philly fight touch to someone this year. That means a new leader might emerge this season.

Media and N.J. Viking. With the two weakest teams merging it will only bring their numbers up, and make them better. They have quite a number of younger Americans, 8+. Expect them to make some noise.

If the Slayers have the number they will be tough. They could have gone all the way in 2003, but could never get the numbers. They will be hot or cold. Not sure.

Finally the Bulls. First, the Bulls are loosing several key players. However they have several key returning players. Expect Eric Hollingworth, Cory Sherridan, and other to play in every game. Also, Alex Plowman will be returning after a year off. Alex was in Iraq. Also there are talks with the Bulls sister team the Bulldogs. Also, Jules O’Neil wants to come play in the AMNRL, and if he comes he would be playing for the Bulls.

So no one team will be dominate this year. Expect the best competition ever.

Tomahawk - let me break it down for you....you're an idiot!!!

To everyone else who reads this forum, stay tuned to www.wildcatsrugby.com for news of the Wildcats 2004 signings. We may have lost our imported players from 2003 but we have replaced them with even better imports this year. Just as a teaser, these include former Australian NRL and Queensland Cup players. Look for the Wildcats to be about as twice as strong as they were in 2003.

I have too much respect for all of the other teams so I won't second guess as to how they will all go, unlike someone we all know, but I will say one thing...Good Luck!!!

Nah mate never played there. Only took an interest when a few mates decided to head over. From what one of them tells me the Wildcats players on the Tomahawk tour of AUS were the standouts. Them plus these 3 and they will be tough to beat. From what I hear you didn't tour AUS, well the sides that were beating the Tomahawks would get severly touched up by the sides these boys are playing or played in, they will do wonders for the game over there but for you to think you will compete with them is a little hard to swallow.

The Mole – Grumbsey – Mic Mulvihill – Or whatever you are calling yourself. Ok I’ll give it to you I am an Idiot!!!!!! Sticks and Stones Will Break Your Bones but Name Will Never Hurt Me. So call me whatever you want, I take whatever you say with the least amount of credibility. Whoever, calls themselves by the nickname Grumbey and then wrights Go the Mole (Both being the same person) is not all their. So I take what you say with a grain of salt.

Secondly, I went to the Wildcat’s web page and saw there are no updates about the team. You guys just talk about the Tomahawk representatives that play for the Wildcats. I think it is a little self-centered, but who am I to judge. We will see just how strong the Wildcats will be in a few short weeks. Will say this though I’ll lay $100 down that the Wildcats will not go undefeated.

As for having so much respect for other teams, I am not the going around saying how great my team is, or let alone saying I am so great. If you read what I wrote, and I time I don’t think you comprehend this to good, I wrote that the competition will be the best ever. Maybe you are the idiot!!!!!!!!!

Thirdly, at least I do not lawnmower my teammates, and you know exactly what I am talking about. Trust me you will pay for that, from that person. You better work on your acting when you take a hit from that guy.

Narcissist;

The standout players in the Australian tour were the likes of Nate Smith, and the Australian professionals. Nate by far was the stand out player in Australia. As far as Grumbsey and hotdog’s proformances, ask some of their teammates. Not many people will talk bad about themselves.

So as for the 2004 AMNRL season expect it to be better then ever. No team will go undefeated, and expect the scores and points to be closer.

I will take that bet.

As for our new player announcements, I said "stay tuned" you clown, not tune in. That means an announcement is forth coming (that means coming soon).
