With all this talk of a player clean out and a recruitment drive. Who would you like to see the Knights sign.

I have to say it's a change from making the coach the skape goat. This time they're sacking the ones who are out on the field.

I'd like them to sign some decent props. Names like: Ross, Clinton, Fui Fui Moi Moi, Poore, King, Kite, Cross and White.

Don't know all of those guys contract situation but I think they would all be good at Newcastle they all have the no nosense mentality and can really win you games.

I'd like them to sign someone to prevent people from starting threads that have the discussion point thats already spanned across 8 or so others.

he's born 1978 so by my calcultion that'd make him 30 next year. I don't mind him but not on anything more than 200k a year, a th end of the day he's a journeyman who in all honesty doesn't have any improvement left in him.

we'd have no chance at matt king would we??

apparently he's being offered 600K in the UK
but wants to stay in the storm.....

still it would go along way to helping our centre's problems

Joel Clinton, Stuart Fielden....

Maybe check some Kiwi props playing in the Auckland comp. Some of those come from tough areas and given the right NRL training, would be formidable. Maybe discovering the next Ruben Wiki...

I wish we got O'Meley....

I would soil myself with delight if we had the presence of mind to bring Stuart Fielden downunder. Guys like Sonny Fai and Russell Packer at NZ might be good, if we can lure them over.

true - but George Carmont comes from a tough area and you guys seemed destined to send him straight back to where you found him.lol

But definetly idea - I hear Manly are going round the South Auckland clubs luring young players over.

The next ruben wikis are for sure Sam Rapira and Bronson Harrison and hopefully Packer and Mcdade.

Harrison is the only one off-contract I believe.

Just Read "Around the traps" article here on LU and I see Craig Stapleton has been told to find a new home from the Sharks he would be a handy pickup IMO very underrated and does alot of work.

I would love to see Ben Cross in the Red & Blue aswell. He has really put his hand up at the Storm loves to roll the sleves up and do the tough stuff.

Dobson certainly wouldn't be a bad pickup. He'd give the team some extra dimension in attack and take some pressure off Mullen.

Stapleton's a workhorse and wouldn't be terribly expensive. He'd be a better bet than somebody like Donnelly or Tsolous IMO.

Ryles - $360k
White - $330k
Dobson- $210k

Then a few young ones with potential
none of those players would be worth that. Ryles is soft and certainly doesn't deserve to be one of the highest paid front rowers in the game, white is worth no more than 300k tops and dobson is only a rookie and still largely unproven. I think Walsh might be as good a prospect anyway for half the price

Those figures would be the highest id go, and I was actually trying to prove, even if we get them for that much, we'll still have a bit of cash left, if the rumours are true that we have 1.5mill to spend.

We might as well have kept Woolnough in my oppinion if we get Stapleton, both average bench players. - Though come to think of it he'd be a $120k maximum, so maybe baby.

here's what I'd do,
Clinton-280k (With incentives if he makes it back to rep football)
Naiqama-220k (his off field troubles, and the fact he's coming back from a season ending injury would help lower his value)
Walsh-90k (I reckon we could probably get him to stay for that much considering the dogs are only offering 10k more)
White-300k (throw in a few incentives, e.g if he plays origin or test football)
