Dobson certainly wouldn't be a bad pickup. He'd give the team some extra dimension in attack and take some pressure off Mullen.

Stapleton's a workhorse and wouldn't be terribly expensive. He'd be a better bet than somebody like Donnelly or Tsolous IMO.

Raiders wont let Dobson go. They would have even more room then us in the salary cap.

I wouldn't mind some of the Raiders props though. Logan, Learoyhd-Lars and Weyman. Bloody Tilse would be handy right now aswell.

Good tough prop but very injury prone so far in his career. Don't think he's played 10 consecutive games without missing a couple through injury. The others would be good as well. Tilse would have been a good one to keep. :sarcasm:

Forgive my ignorance, CWBush, but who is Dobson, what position does he play and who does he currently play for?

Also just checked out Craig Stapletons age he is only 28 same age as Benny Cross, Still got a couple of years left in him and as CWB said he wouldn't be to expensive.

The Knights need forwards who will put the fear of god back into the opposition. The Knights haven't had this kind of fear factor since the days of Harrogan, Butterfield, Muir and Glanville. The Knights do not need wholsale changes. I would like to see a team like the following:

1. K Gidley
2. A Uate
3. L MacDougall
4. P Whatuira
5. M Utai
6. J Mullen
7. M Head / M Dobson
13. D Abraham
12. M Sargent
11. S Simpson
10. J Clinton
9. D Buderus
8. J Ryles

14. T Seu Seu
15. C Paterson
16. K Snowden
17. A MacDougall

That's not wholesale changes?

What's the logic behind that bench?

Ok. That was wholesale changes, but I mean't throughtout the club in general. We have some really good young players who are IMO a year or two off being ready for FG.

The reason why I went for the bench player I did, is for the following reasons -

1. T Seu Seu - Showed earlier in the year that this kid is very good defensively in the middle of the ruck, and knows how to spot a gap. Buderus is getting older, and to preserve him longer, we need to take the workload off him.

2. C Paterson - Has shown alot of aggression in the few games he has played in FG this year. Could really develop with the right players around him.

3. K Snowden - Like Paterson, hasn't played a great deal of FG this year, however is rated very highly by the club and doesn't take a backward step.

4. A MacDougall - A player with strenth, size and skill. When defenses are tiring, one of the last things they would want to see is A MacDougall heading their way in full flight. Can also play a number of positions in the outside backs, and lock or 2nd Row if required.
