WCC would have been played a week earlier i reckon. How will WCC impact things? Could a club conceivably do both?
Playing UK and Vegas on consec weekend is surely a no-go to begin with, but even if they bring WCC forward a week to give a fortnight break, that's a near month long road trip leading into the season.
If Brisbane had won the GF would they have simply skipped WCC?
Yea two road games in a month, even with the travel in between, isnt onerous in itself. The All Blacks (and Wallabies) cope with a helluva lot more every year on their EOY tours.WCC would have been played a week earlier i reckon.
Plus its only a 10hr flight to Vegas from London so its not extreme like flying back & forth from Europe.
If anything going to Vegas via UK across 1 month breaks up the trip. Its just a cost with accommodation & time away home factor that would be a burden.
Over the Porcupines?!?!?!? Not a chanceGet the Adelaide Pandas over there.
Do you really want to see an empty stadium that bad ?NRLW and WCC Friday night double header
NRL Saturday night double
Wheelchair tournament Sunday
Weekend sorted! Super inclusive, something for everyone!
Manly will have both this year.I doubt a side gets Vegas and Magic Round home game.
TBH, having teams from Sydney and Brisbane in year 1 and teams from Melbourne, Canberra and NZ in year 2 gives the competition a pretty good look internationally from a geographic coverage perspective. People know about Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Canberra (well maybe not Americans, their geography knowledge outside the US is pretty shit). As for the poll, I went Panthers (obvious), Storm, Warriors and Raiders (only because my Mrs was looking over my shoulder at the time and would have killed me if I didn't include them)
Well if their geography is shit, then it doesn't matter who we sendTBH, having teams from Sydney and Brisbane in year 1 and teams from Melbourne, Canberra and NZ in year 2 gives the competition a pretty good look internationally from a geographic coverage perspective. Maybe send the tigers when you send the (Golden) knights, and send the titans when you send the (LV) Raiders, that way you get the locals turn up to support the similar named local teams while they whip the dregsI think you have to be judicious on who you send. You don't want to send your high appeal teams at once otherwise going into the 4th year you're left with the dregs of the competition.
Imagine Tigers, Dragons, Bulldogs, Titans all at the same time.**
** these teams as they have been poor over the last 5 or more years. In 4 years time they might be preliminary finalists.
Just send "The Dolphins" - no geography requiredWell if their geography is shit, then it doesn't matter who we send
