Hages or brown. Both have star studded teams that often play below their best

Different things.

Hages is bad at selecting a team that is representative of the ebst players at his disposal. Similarly he is reluctant to break established partnerships even if they have proven to struggle.

Brown has an arguably significantly stronger side, particularly the forwards. He just seems horrible at getting the best out of them consistently.

How he can lose with the talent he has is beyond me - but they can lose any game if the stars are not in the right quarter for them.

What does that article show about Hagan's coaching ability? He gets asked a thousand times what his game plan is every time that Johns doesn't play, so no one can really blame him for having a gut full when the question gets asked again. The fact that the knights won the game speaks more about his coaching ability than his tongue-in-cheek response in that article.
