We had a lot of bad luck this year, and most coaches would have struggled to be world beaters but we had enough chances to win enough games to make or go close to the 8. Quite a few of those were bad decisions by Mary like the Widdop to fullback, Interchanging with Hunt, McInnes and Norman plus Dufty on occasion experiment. A few we were close and the game plan looked ok but the players lacked the hunger. That I will put down to the players because in FG if you are that close it’s down to blood sweat and tears. And a few issues were from chopping and changing our wingers and fullback all year. That is a combination of recruitment, coaching and also on the players. So to summarise the whole club is a shambles.
