Why are we so piss weak?

We lack speed and aggression in the middle which is why we shouldn't be spending any more money on outside backs. I hope we're not seriously thinking of signing Israel Folau. A 32 year old Anthony Watmough would be a much better use of our salary cap.

Yep, we can't compete on the ground, Penrith did what every team should do against us, play with enthusiasm.....gets us every time.

Tonight was disgraceful, Friday better be an improved performance!

Who has been telling you all that Penrith are the real deal? Cleary is one of the best coaches in the nrl.THis is a serious football team.Everyone on here laughs when I tell them how good they are.

And they where missing-Grant,Idris-Whare-Docker.
Bryce looks a class act and once one of there young wingers take Simmonds spot this team will be there when we talking potential comp winners.Class act.

For me it showed a few floors in our team. Our halves rely on Hayne.Sandow and norman show some nice touches but Wallace and soward showed them how to control a game with your brains!!

Hunt isn't first grade quality and shouldn't be retained and Sio is nothing more than a winger.
If Hayne doesn't play Norman too fullback and Matterson or Paulo to 5/8.

Morgan did nothing too impress me TBH.But not the game too really.

Mau has a big heart. And Jnr Paulo is the future along with Pauli Pauli.Need to keep these guys. And lussick has some aggression we need.
The rest are just average.Terepo-Mannah-Gower-Allgood- fill spots but wouldnt worry if we lost any of them.
Penrith looked just physically way superior.ALmost like men vs boys. There wingers out powered our forwards.

No I also think Penrith are a quality team. Even if they lose next week they will still be top four after playing half their games, and deservedly so.

Shows the value of sticking with a plan, even if it takes five years.

Wallace and Soward had all the time and space in the world to execute plays whereas our halves were rushed most of the time.

OP has a point.
Sure we have had some good wins, but even in that Roosters win we were dominated in the forwards.
We have no wrestle. Quite often you see some good first contact, but then our defenders will just slip away and let the man with the ball get onto his stomach easily which allows the quick play-the-balls. Allgood is about the only forward who has some strength in the tackles, but then he's mostly useless in attack.

We definitely need something different in our forwards.
Terepo in particular has been a disappointment.

A good lesson for everyone jizzing their pants, if we finish 10 or11 th we have had a good season, this game has proved we r still a long way off.

This comp is pretty even. We could be a top four side if we played tougher in games like tonight, and that's actually not a hugely tough adjustment to make. It's just about consciously competing every tackle. Personally I'd say we'll be 6th-12th, depending on how we go with injuries and F/A (if Peats is out for a length we're in deep shit though) and that's a massive improvement regardless.

We're still, IMO, the most dangerous attacking side in the competition. We just have to temper that with some hard work and some patience. We tried to attack right from the kick off and ultimately we never got off the back foot after f**king that effort up.

Well, danger implies potential. And our attacking potential, especially for ad lib footy, is outstanding. Cowboys would give us a run for our money. The Roosters are barely in the 8 and have widely publicised problems with their attack, so I'm curious to know why you rate them so highly. The Bulldogs and Warriors are much better than the Roosters.

We have also scored the most points in the NRL this season. So yes, I would say it's pretty fair to call us the most dangerous attacking side in the competition at the moment. Unfortunately, it seems Brad Arthur needs to instill some patience. We had it against Saints, we lost it tonight.

The Roosters aren't dangerous unless their big men dominate. We put on points just from our forwards barely holding their own.

We just didn't turn up tonight, not sure if it was Hayne not playing or just an off night but we were murdered up the middle.

Is Mannah really getting married tomorrow???

Wtf that is just laughable, how would his mind be anywhere close to being on the job????

From our captain no less, hopefully tonight is a wake up call if the forwards don't pull their fingers out the cowboys pack will murder us.

Hayne will be back next week. I don't expect us to mentally turn up when Hayne is not playing. Unfortunately it is just the reality at the moment.

I'm fairly confident we will beat the Cowboys at home.

101m and 33 tackles from Mannah. Seems he was one of the few whose mind was actually on the job

No, if we make the finals we've had a good season. Anything less is a disappointment.

#MidTableSide

Really it's not what I was reading the beginning of the year, people changing tune due to our good start, we have come dead last last couple years, maybe some perspective is required here, and to finish we are rubbish away from Parra stadium, and from what I gather not too many games left at home....just sayin.

As a team they didn't show up, disappointing but we'll bounce back im sure of it

Gus Gould swears by the 18 months to change a culture statement.

We have had a loser mentality as a club for 3 years now. Been taught to think like losers and been told it is ok to play like losers.
Things seem different so far this year, but relapse is part of progress. Fortunately we have won most games we have turned up for, which makes things seem more advanced than they are!

I'm quietly confident of winning the next 2 - both home games for us.

The fact is the roosters have more points of attack making them a better attacking team. And they score structured tries as aposed to ad-lib and somewhat an element of luck in a lot of our tries. Any team can throw the ball around but it increases the chances of error.
The dogs are the best defensive team but not attacking.Manly the best well balanced team. What we showed is against a good defense we struggle to create points without Hayne

My biggest concern is how weak our forwards look in comparison to penrith's who aren't exactly superstars. Norman is also a worry for me but im prepared to give him this year to see what he can do .Not sold on him thou.On par with Luke Kelly at this stage
